Buzău Municipal Stadium (Crâng Stadium)
The Buzău Municipal Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in the Crâng Park, in Buzău, Romania. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FC Buzău. The stadium was built between 1936–1942, on the initiative of Buzău mayor Stan Săraru. p. 68 It underwent a major refurbishment between 1971 and 1976. It was refurbished again in 2007 when it was transformed into an all-seater stadium. Buzău
Buzău (; formerly spelled ''Buzeu'' or ''Buzĕu'') is a city in the historical region of Muntenia, Romania, and the county seat of Buzău County. It lies near the right bank of the Buzău River, between the south-eastern curvature of the Carpathian Mountains and the lowlands of Bărăgan Plain. Buzău is a railway hub in south-eastern Romania, where railways that link Bucharest to Moldavia and Transylvania to the Black Sea coast meet. DN2, a segment of European route E85 crosses the city. Buzău's proximity to trade routes helped it develop its role as a commerce hub in older days, and as an industrial centre during the 20th century. During the Middle Ages, Buzău was a market town and Romanian Orthodox Church, Eastern Orthodox episcopal see in Wallachia.
