Bursaspor Basketbol, also known as Bursaspor Yörsan for sponsorship reasons, is a Turkish professional basketball club based in Bursa. Founded in 2014, the club is the basketball section of the multi-sport club Bursaspor and currently competes in the Basketbol Süper Ligi, the top-tier basketball league in Turkey. History Bursaspor Basketbol was founded in 2014 and entered the Third Turkish League. In 2019, Bursaspor promoted to the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL), for the first time after winning the Turkish Second Division championship. In the 2019–20 Basketbol Süper Ligi, Bursaspor performed well until the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After finishing ninth in the standings, the team will play in the 2020–21 EuroCup Basketball. This will be the European debut of the team. Basketbol Süper Ligi
The Basketball Super League (; TBSL), also known as the Türkiye Sigorta Basketbol Süper Ligi for sponsorship reasons, is the top men's professional basketball division of the Turkish basketball league system. It replaced the former Turkish Basketball Championship (1946–1967) to become the Turkish Basketball League (TBL) until 2015 when it adopted its current name while the TBL name became exclusive to the Turkish Basketball First League, second-tier and Turkish Basketball Second League, third-tier divisions. The BSL is administered by the Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) and is contested by 16 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams promotion and relegation, relegated to the second-tier TBL and replaced by the top two teams of that division. The 2020–21 Basketbol Süper Ligi was the 55th season of the Basketbol Süper Ligi, the top-tier level professional club basketball league in Turkey. The 2021–22 EuroCup Basketball season was the 20th season of Euroleague Basketball's secondary level professional club basketball tournament. It was the 14th season since it was renamed from the ULEB Cup to the EuroCup, and the sixth season under the title sponsorship name of 7DAYS. Virtus Bologna defeated Bursaspor Basketbol in the final, which was played at the Segafredo Arena in Bologna, to win their first EuroCup title.
