Bundesstraße 202
The Bundesstraße 202 is a German federal road or ''Bundesstraße'' and the west–east link between Sankt Peter Ording, Tönning, Friedrichstadt, Rendsburg, Kiel, Lütjenburg and Oldenburg in Holstein in the central part of the state of Schleswig-Holstein. Route The B 202 begins in Sankt Peter Ording at the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein. It then continues eastwoards towards Tönning. Here it runs together with the B 5 for a while until it reaches Friedrichstadt. The route continues near the Eider river towards Rendsburg where it meets the B 77 and the B 203. The road between Rendsburg and Kiel was downgraded due to the construchtion of the A 210 motorway. In Kiel it runs together with the B 76 with connections with the B 404 and the B 502. In Schwentinental it leaves the B 76 and runs towards Lütjenburg where it has a connection with the B 430. Sankt Peter Ording
Sankt Peter-Ording () is a popular German seaside spa and a municipality in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is the only German seaside resort that has a sulphur spring and thus terms itself "North Sea spa and sulphur spring". By overnight stays, St. Peter-Ording is the largest seaside resort and has the most overnight stays in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. Geography St. Peter-Ording is situated on the North Sea coast, on the western tip of the Eiderstedt peninsula, approx. 45 km southwest of Husum. Part of the municipality lies in the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park. Husum
Husum (, ) is the capital of the ''Kreis'' (district) Nordfriesland in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. The town was the birthplace of the novelist Theodor Storm, who coined the epithet "the grey town by the sea". It is also the home of the annual international piano festival ''Raritäten der Klaviermusik'' (Rarities of Piano Music) founded in 1986. History Husum was first mentioned as ''Husembro'' in 1252, when king Abel was murdered. Like most towns on the North Sea, Husum was strongly influenced by storm tides. In 1362 a disastrous storm tide, the " Grote Mandrenke" flooded the town and carved out the inland harbour. Before this date Husum was not situated directly on the coast. Heide
Heide (; Holsatian: ''Heid'') is a town in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is the capital of the ''Kreis'' (district) Dithmarschen. Population: 22,000. The German word ''Heide'' means "heath". In the 15th century four adjoining villages decided to build a church in the "middle of the heath". This remained the town's name to date. The exact foundation date is now unknown, but by 1447 Heide was already the main village of Dithmarschen. At this time Dithmarschen was an independent peasant republic. Heide became a town in the 19th century. Heide has the largest un-built-upon market square in Germany, with 4.7 hectares.
