Bucheon
Bucheon (; ) is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Bucheon is located away from Seoul, of which it is a satellite city. It is located between Incheon and Seoul. Bucheon is the second most densely populated city in South Korea after Seoul, and as a result, administrative districts were abolished in July 2016 in favor of providing greater public service in community centers. Major manufacturing operations are located in the northern areas of the city, while the areas in the south where Seoul Subway Line 7 and Seoul Subway Line 1 pass are dense commercial and residential areas. Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival
The Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (), or BiFan, formerly known as Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival or PiFan, is an international film festival held annually in July in Bucheon, South Korea. Inaugurated in 1997, the festival focuses on South Korean and international horror, thriller, mystery and fantasy films, with particular attention to Asian cinema from East Asia and Southeast Asia. It is a non-competitive international film festival, with partial competition, awarding a number of awards. History The inaugural festival was held in 1997. Until 2015, it was known as the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival, or PiFan. Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra
The Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra is an orchestra based in Bucheon, South Korea. The orchestra is resident at the Bucheon Arts Centre (BAC) Concert Hall. History The orchestra was founded in 1988, with Seo Hoon as the founding principal conductor. Im Hun-Jeong became principal conductor in 1988. During Im's tenure, the orchestra performed the first complete cycle of the symphonies of Gustav Mahler in Korea, between 1999 and 2003. Im stood down as principal conductor in 2014 and now has the title of laureate conductor of the orchestra. Park Young-Min succeeded Im as principal conductor, from 2015 to 2020. Chang Yun-Seong subsequently served as principal conductor from 2021 to 2023. Seoul Subway Line 7
Seoul Subway Line 7 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway was built from 1990 to 1996 (Jangam- Konkuk Univ.) and was completed on August 1, 2000 (central section .
