Brålanda Idrottsförening, commonly known as Brålanda IF, is a football club located in Brålanda, Sweden. Founded in 1909, the club now plays its home games on Sörbyvallen. History Brålanda IF was founded in 1909. In 2021, the club managed to reach the fifth tier, to play in the 2022 Division 3. In the 2022–23 Svenska Cupen, Brålanda IF was drawn against reigning league champions Malmö FF. Brålanda IF lost 0–9. Brålanda
Brålanda is a locality situated in Vänersborg Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden with 1,385 inhabitants in 2010. It is situated 24 km north of the town Vänersborg, by the southern parts of lake Vänern. It is a conjoining town for the rural agricultural lands, and has a large storage silo for crops. In the town there is one grocery shop, one Burger King restaurant, a swimming bath, a campground, and a small library. One of the first known serial killers in Sweden was born in Brålanda. 2022–23 Svenska Cupen
The 2022–23 Svenska Cupen was the 67th season of the Svenska Cupen and the eleventh season with the current format. The winners of the competition will secure a spot in the second qualifying round of the 2023–24 UEFA Europa Conference League, unless they had already qualified for European competition in the 2022–23 season, in which case the qualification spot will go to fourth-placed team of the 2022 Allsvenskan. A total of 96 clubs will enter the competition, 64 teams from district sites and 32 from the Allsvenskan and the Superettan. Round dates The schedule of the competition is as follows. Malmö FF are the holders of the record of most titles with 24 Swedish championships, the most recent of which was won in 2024 Allsvenskan, 2024. Division 4 (Swedish Football)
Division 4 is the sixth level in the league system of Swedish football and comprises 39 sections with 8 to 12 football teams in each. The competition There are 39 groups of 8 to 12 teams each representing a local geographical area. During the course of a season (starting in April and ending in October), each club plays the others twice, once at their home stadium and once at that of their opponents, for a total of 18 to 22 games depending on the number of teams. The top team in each Division 4 group is promoted to Division 3 and the three lowest placed teams from each Division 3 league are relegated in their place.
