Brynjulf Jung Tjønn (born 15 November 1980) is a Norwegian journalist and writer. Personal life Tjønn was born in Seoul, South Korea, on 15 November 1980. Adopted to Norway, he grew up in Feios in Sogn. Literary career Tjønn made his book debut in 2002, with the novel ''Eg kom for å elske''. He received the Brage Prize in 2013 for his novel for young adults, ''Så vakker du er''. For his poetry collection ''Kvit norsk mann'' he was awarded the Norwegian Critics Prize for Literature in 2022. He chaired the Norwegian Authors' Union from 2023 to 2024, when he was succeeded by . Feios
Feios is a village in Vik Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located on the southern shore of the Sognefjorden, about southeast of the village of Vangsnes and about northwest of the village of Fresvik. The village lies in a small, narrow valley, surrounded by large mountains, with the river Feioselvi running through the center of the valley. Feios Church is located in the village. A good portion of the population is engaged in agriculture, especially fruits such as apples, pears, plums, strawberries, and raspberries on farms and gardens in the village. Historically, the village has been famous for its beautiful fruit blossoms. Fruit cultivation has slowed somewhat in recent years. Sogn is a traditional district in Western Norway (''Vestlandet''). It is located in the county of Vestland, surrounding the Sognefjord, the largest/longest fjord in Norway. The Norwegian Critics Prize for Literature (''Den norske Kritikerprisen for litteratur'' or ''Kritikerprisen'') is awarded by the Norwegian Literature Critics' Association (''Norsk Litteraturkritikerlag'') and has been awarded every year since 1950. The Norwegian Authors' Union (, DnF) is an association of Norwegian authors. It was established in 1893 to promote Norwegian literature and protect Norwegian authors' professional and economic interests. DnF also works in solidarity with persecuted writers internationally. As of 2004 the association had 513 members. The author Heidi Marie Kriznik has led the organization since 2017. Heidi Marie Kriznik (born 23 February 1970) is a Norwegian novelist. She served as chair of the Norwegian Authors' Union from 2017 to 2023.
