Bruno Pavelić
Brunislav "Bruno" Pavelić ( sr-cyr, Брунислав "Бруно" Павелић; 4 March 1937 – 28 September 2021), was a Serbian basketball player. Playing career Pavelić grew up playing basketball with KK Lokomotiva Zemun. Also, he occasionally played association football, football in FK Jedinstvo Zemun with Vladica Popović. Eventually, under the influence of coach Miomir Lilić he decided to go further with basketball. In 1954, he joined newly established club KK Mladost Zemun, Mladost Zemun. In 1956, he moved to KK Proleter Kreka where he played for two seasons before he went to serve compulsory military service in the Yugoslav People's Army. Pavelić played for OKK Beograd under Borislav Stanković, Bora Stanković and Aleksandar Nikolić during the 1960s. At the time, his teammates were Radivoj Korać, Slobodan Gordić, Miodrag Nikolić, and Trajko Rajković among others. The 1963 Yugoslav First Basketball League season was the 19th season of the Yugoslav First Basketball League. The season ended with OKK Beograd winning the league championship, ahead of KK Partizan. The season began during June 1963 following the end of the 1963 FIBA World Championship in Brazil where the Yugoslav national team won silver, its first-ever medal at the FIBA World Championship. The national team success led to an increased level of interest in basketball throughout the country as the public eagerly awaited another showdown between the main title contenders — OKK Beograd led by twenty-four-year-old power forward Radivoj Korać and KK Olimpija whose on-court leader was twenty-five-year-old point guard Ivo Daneu. Pinki Cultural and Sports Center ( sr-Cyrl, Културно-спортски центар Пинки), commonly known as Pinki Hall ( sr-Cyrl, Хала Пинки), is an indoor multi-sports venue located in Belgrade's municipality of Zemun, Serbia. The venue has an indoor hall and an indoor swimming pool. The hall has a seating capacity of 2,300 for sports events and around 5,000 for concerts.
