Bruno Amstad
Bruno Amstad (born 1964 in Stans) is a Swiss singer in the field of improvisation and jazz. Life and Works Amstad was at first as soul, funk and rock singer in the 80s. Then, he changed his genre to jazz and world music. Christy Doran took him in his project ''New Bag''. He was active in the project for twelve years (with Wolfgang Zwiauer, Fabian Kuratli, Hans-Peter Pfammatter, Dominik Burkhalter and Vincent Membrez). In this project, seven albums were created from 1999 to 2011. Also, he sang in Asita Hamidi's group, Bazaar. He became an important figure of world music in Switzerland, He belongs to Sandro Schneebeli's international project, ''Scala Mobile'' (along with Antonello Messina and Paul McCandless). In the last twenty years, Amstad has collaborated with several bands and projects in more than fifty countries. (TLASILA) is an experimental music collective founded in 1993 by avant-garde composer/producer Tom Smith (formerly of Washington, DC groups Peach of Immortality and Pussy Galore) and Miami Beach musician/producer Frank "Rat Bastard" Falestra. Funk
Funk is a music genre that originated in African Americans, African American communities in the mid-1960s when musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of various music genres that were popular among African Americans in the mid-20th century. Christian Weber (1972 in Zurich) is a Swiss double bass player. He is especially well known in the field of free improvisation and jazz. Life and works In 1990, Weber began playing double bass. After taking private lessons in Zurich, he moved to Graz in 1993 for studying at the academy of music and performing arts. Simultaneously, he started studying under Aderhard Roidinger at Anton Bruckner Private University for Music, Drama, and Dance. His education at this university lasted to 1998.
