Britcar
Britcar is an endurance sports car racing and touring car racing series in the United Kingdom. It was formed in 1997, as a result of a discussion in a Nürburgring bar between Willie Moore and James Tucker. Folklore has it that James Tucker and John Veness formed the organizing European Endurance & Racing Club (EERC) with a £10 note found on the ground. The foremost aim was the re-introduction of a 24-hour race in Britain. At the end of the 2015 season, James sold the Britcar rights to Hedley Cowell Events Ltd. For the 2016 season, Claire Hedley re-launched Britcar Endurance as the Dunlop Endurance Championship and Dunlop Trophy Championship. For 2020 the series was invited to support the FIA World Endurance Championship races at Spa-Francorchamps and Silverstone. Ginetta G55
The Ginetta G55 is a specialist sports car, which has been built by Ginetta Cars since 2011. It is built to the FIA GT3 regulations, and the cars are raced in a one-make series; the Ginetta GT Supercup. In addition to this, they are also used in the GT3 class of competitions such as the British GT Championship. It was an evolutionary update of the Ginetta G50, which is a GT4-class car. Cup Ginetta Cars announced in November 2010 that they were going to be building a new sports car, and named it as the G55. In February 2011, the car was released, as a more powerful evolution of the G50. The G55 featured a Ford-sourced 3.7 litre V6, producing 370 hp, in addition to a 6-speed sequential manual gearbox, built by Hewland. The new car did not replace the G50; instead, it supplemented it, and the Ginetta G50 Cup was rebranded as the Ginetta GT Supercup. Brabham BT62
The Brabham BT62 is a mid-engine Track day, track-day car produced by Australian car manufacturer Brabham Automotive. It was introduced in 2018 with deliveries expected to start at the end of that year. A planned production of only 70 cars is intended, in honour of the company's 70 year heritage in racing. Specifications The BT62 is powered by a mid-mounted 5.4-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine that is based on the Ford V8 modular engine architecture of American manufacturer Ford Motor Company. The engine has been extensively modified and has a power output of at 7,400 rpm and of torque at 6,200 rpm, giving the car a power-to-weight ratio of 653 hp per ton. The Praga R1 is a racing and sports car made by Czech car manufacturer Praga (company), Praga. The cars raced on the Supercar Challenge (series), Supercar Challenge and the Britcar, Britcar Endurance Championship. Development The first Praga R1 was built in 2012. The Aston Martin Vulcan is a two-door, two-seat, high-performance lightweight track-only car launched in 2015 by British luxury automobile manufacturer Aston Martin at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Arrinera
Arrinera Automotive S.A., was a Polish car manufacturer based in Warsaw. History The company was established in 2008 by brothers Łukasz and Marek Tomkiewicz. In 2011 it announced its first proof-of-concept car, using a mid-engine, rear-drive layout. Their second prototype was presented in 2012, initially named the Venocara, later renamed as the Hussarya. Arrinera developed a race variant of the car to GT3 racing specifications, the Hussarya GT. It was first shown at the ''Autosport International'' automotive show in Birmingham, UK, in January 2016. Saker (Saker Sports Cars) where designed and built in Feilding, New Zealand, by Bruce Turnbull of Turnbull Engineering from 1989 to 2002. The first generation of the BMW Z4 consists of the BMW E85 (roadster version) and BMW E86 (coupe version) sports cars. The E85/E86 generation was produced from 2002 to 2008. Endurance racing is a form of motorsport which is meant to test the durability of equipment and endurance of participants. Teams of multiple drivers attempt to cover a large distance in a single event, with participants given a break with the ability to change during the race. Endurance races can be run either to cover a set distance in laps as quickly as possible, or to cover as much distance as possible over a preset amount of time. The Arrinera Hussarya is a sports car project made by Poland, Polish automotive manufacturer Arrinera, Arrinera Automotive. It was touted by Arrinera as the first supercar designed and engineered in Poland. It was named after Poland's Polish hussars, Hussar cavalry.
