Breña Baja
Breña Baja (Spanish for Lower Breña) is a municipality on the eastern side of the island of La Palma, in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the Canary Islands. The ayuntamiento (municipal office) is in the town of San José with an elevation of 300 m. Until the 17th century, the area was known as Breña, but was then divided into Breña Alta and Breña Baja. La Palma's second largest resort, Los Cancajos, is on the coast. Part of La Palma Airport (formerly Mazo Airport) is located in the municipality. Breña Alta
Breña Alta (Spanish for Upper Breña) is a municipality on the eastern side of the island of La Palma, in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the Canary Islands. The ayuntamiento (municipal office) is in the town of San Pedro, at 350 m above sea-level, and only 9 km south of the island's capital Santa Cruz de la Palma . Breña Alta lies on the main highway encircling the island, just north of La Palma Airport. Until the 17th century the area was known as Breña, but was then divided into Breña Alta and Breña Baja. Breña Alta has a fishing port, an artificial beach at Bajamar, and an industrial area. The municipality is known for its tobacco production. There is a 100-year-old dracaena tree near San Isidro. La Palma Airport
La Palma Airport () is an airport located in Breña Baja and Villa de Mazo, south of the city of Santa Cruz de La Palma on La Palma in the Canary Islands. It is operated by Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegación Aérea (AENA), who operate the majority of civil airports in Spain. The airport is served mainly by Binter Canarias and CanaryFly with island-hopping flights from Tenerife and Gran Canaria, but there are flights to the main Europe cities and charter flights from mainland Europe such as Germany, United Kingdom, Scandinavia and the Netherlands. Los Cancajos is a small tourist resort in the Canarian island of La Palma. Its resident population is 713 (2013). It is located in the municipality of Breña Baja on the east coast of La Palma, between the island capital, Santa Cruz de La Palma, and La Palma Airport.
