Brett Ratner
Brett Ratner (born March 28, 1969) is an American film director and producer. He directed the Rush Hour (film series), ''Rush Hour'' film series, ''The Family Man'', ''Red Dragon (2002 film), Red Dragon'', ''X-Men: The Last Stand'', ''Tower Heist'', and ''Hercules (2014 film), Hercules''. He is a producer of several films, including the ''Horrible Bosses'' series, as well as executive producer on other projects, including the films ''The Revenant (2015 film), The Revenant'' and ''War Dogs (2016 film), War Dogs'' and the television series ''Prison Break''. Ratner got his start directing with music videos in the 1990s, and directed his first motion picture, ''Money Talks (1997 film), Money Talks'', in 1997. Lee Ratner
Leonard Lee Ratner was an American businessman who built his fortune through mail order sales, particularly as the founder of d-CON rat poison company, before moving into real estate investment. He was the biological grandfather of film producer and director Brett Ratner. Early life and education Leonard Lee Ratner was born in 1918 and grew up on the west side of Chicago. As a young child, he learned to be a salesman selling groceries and other merchandise at his father's produce stand. At age 17, he took an active role in the business. One day Ratner heard about a truck load of bananas that were about to spoil from over ripening. He struck a deal with the truck owner to buy them for $250. d-CON is an America brand of rodent control products, which is distributed and owned in the United States by the UK-based consumer goods company Reckitt. The brand includes traps and baits for use around the home for trapping and killing some rats and mice. As of 2015, bait products use first-generation vitamin K anticoagulants as poison. The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a landmark which consists of 2,813 five-pointed terrazzo-and-brass stars embedded in the sidewalks along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street in the Hollywood, Los Angeles, Hollywood district of Los Angeles, California.
