Brett Queener
Brett Queener (born September 30, 1984 in Penn Yan, New York) is an American lacrosse player. He is currently a member of the Chrome Lacrosse Club in the Premier Lacrosse League and was selected by the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League. He never played for them. Queener is best known as a field lacrosse goaltender, however he plays an offensive position in indoor box lacrosse. Queener is currently the head coach of the Community School of Naples varsity lacrosse team. Early years Queener, a field lacrosse goaltender, began playing high-school varsity lacrosse for the Penn Yan Academy as an 8th grader. At Penn Yan, under his father and head coach Harry Queener, he helped the team capture five consecutive sectional titles. Goaltender (field Lacrosse)
In field lacrosse, the goaltender (goalie, goalkeeper, or the keeper) is the most important and last line of defense between the opposing offense and the goal. The goaltender's primary roles are to defend the opposing team's shots on goal and to direct the defense. Rules Goaltenders are the only ones on the field who can touch the ball with their hands. However, they are not allowed to pick up or control the ball with their hands. Hand touches are legal only when in the crease. Each team has a goaltender on the field at all times. If the goaltender stops a shot by the opposing team, or picks the ball up any other way, the goaltender has four seconds in the crease to pass the ball or run with the ball. Community School Of Naples
Community School of Naples (CSN), is an independent, college preparatory day school in Naples, Florida. The school enrolls more than 800 students on 77 acres campus with 24 buildings. History CSN was founded in 1982 by a group of parents and the original student body was recruited by word of mouth. The first class consisted of fewer than 50 students who began K-5 classes in rented accommodation in two churches in Naples. Sam Hazard served as the first Head of School. 2007 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship
The 2007 NCAA Division I lacrosse tournament was the 37th annual tournament hosted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association to determine the team champion of men's college lacrosse among its Division I programs, held at the end of the 2007 NCAA Division I men's lacrosse season. The tournament was held from May 12–28, 2007. Johns Hopkins won their ninth national title, defeating Duke in the final 12–11. Johns Hopkins was led by Paul Rabil and coach Dave Pietramala, and Duke was led by Zack Greer and Matt Danowski. The championship game was played at M&T Bank Stadium, the home of the NFL's Baltimore Ravens, in Baltimore, Maryland, with a crowd of 48,443 fans. The Johns Hopkins Blue Jays men's lacrosse team represents Johns Hopkins University in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college lacrosse. Herkimer County Community College, or Herkimer College since 2014, is a public community college in Herkimer, Herkimer County, New York. It is part of the State University of New York system. USA Lacrosse, a Recognized Sport Organization of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, is the governing body of men and women's lacrosse in the United States.
