Brekstad–Valset Ferry
The Brekstad–Valset Ferry is an ferry, automobile ferry in Trøndelag county, Norway. The ferry is part of the Norwegian County Road 710 as it crosses the Trondheimsfjorden, connecting the town of Brekstad in Ørland Municipality on the Fosen peninsula to the village of Valset in Orkland Municipality. The passage is performed with the double-ended ferries MF ''Ørland'' and operated by Tide Sjø making 17 crossings in each direction each day taking 20 minutes. The ferry route started in 1977, and was operated by Fosen Trafikklag until 2007, when it lost the public service obligation contract to Tide Sjø. Starting in 2019, the route will be operated by Fjord1 and two of the ferries will be battery electric. Trondheimsfjorden
The Trondheim Fjord or Trondheimsfjorden (), an inlet of the Norwegian Sea, is Norway's List of Norwegian fjords, third-longest fjord at long. It is located in the west-central part of the country in Trøndelag county, and it stretches from Ørland Municipality in the west to Steinkjer Municipality in the north, passing the city of Trondheim (city), Trondheim on its way. Its maximum depth is , in the channel between Orkland Municipality and Indre Fosen Municipality. The Flakk–Rørvik Ferry is an ferry, automobile ferry in Trøndelag county, Norway. The line is part of Norwegian County Road 715, which connects the Fosen peninsula with the city of Trondheim (city), Trondheim. Fjord1 AS is a Norway, Norwegian transport conglomerate, one of the largest in the Norway, Norwegian transport sector. Formed in 2001, company headquarters are in Florø, with the headquarters of the ferry division in Molde (town), Molde. It operates a fleet of environmentally friendly vessels in the Norwegian fjords. Formation Nordvestlandske was formed in 2001 by the merger of the county council-owned ferry companies Møre og Romsdal Fylkesbåtar and Fylkesbaatane i Sogn og Fjordane, becoming Fjord1 in December 2002. Fosen Trafikklag is a company operating buses and ferries in Trøndelag and Østlandet in Norway. In total the company has approximately 750 vehicles and 16 ships, though numerous of them operate by subsidiaries. The company merged with Namos Trafikkselskap in 2008 to form FosenNamsos Sjø AS. Brekstad
Brekstad is a town in Ørland Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located along the Trondheimsfjord at the entrance to the Stjørnfjorden. The town is located about south of the village of Uthaug and about west of the villages of Austrått and Ottersbo. The town has a population (2024) of 2,437 and a population density of .
