Chris Brann (born March 25, 1972) is an American electronic music producer and remixer. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia. Brann is known for his work under the monikers Wamdue Project and Ananda Project. Career Chris Brann's teamed up with DJ Deep C (Chris Clark) and Udoh (Chris Udoh) in 1994. Eva Brann
Eva T. H. Brann (January 1, 1929 – October 28, 2024) was an American academician, dean and the longest-serving tutor at St. John's College, Annapolis. She was a 2005 recipient of the National Humanities Medal. Life and career Brann was born to a Jewish family in Berlin. She immigrated in 1941 to the United States and received her B.A. from Brooklyn College in 1950, her M.A. in Classics from Yale University in 1951, and her Ph.D. in Archaeology from Yale in 1956. She also held an Honorary Doctorate from Middlebury College. In her early years at St. John's, she was very close to Jacob Klein. After Klein died, Brann increasingly assumed his role as the defining figure of St. John's, the St. John's program, and the continuing dialogue with the Great Books represented by the program. Brann died on October 28, 2024, at the age of 95. Matt Brann
Matt Brann (born 14 November 1980) is a Canadian drummer, mainly known for his work with Avril Lavigne. Career He started playing drums when he was 12, but it wasn't until when he attended Exeter High School that he started to play in a band called Second Opinion along with a few school friends (including Jason McCaslin, who would later go on to become the bassist of Canadian rock band Sum 41) at the age of 14. They played together for about 5 years around their local town and outside of Toronto, Ontario. His first luck struck at 2002 when a friend of his who was on the same management as Avril Lavigne had just gotten signed and needed to put a band together. Matt called her management Nettwerk and they flew him to New York to meet her. He auditioned for the role of the drummer and successfully became part of Lavigne's band. William Cowper Brann
William Cowper Brann (January 4, 1855 – April 2, 1898) was an American journalist also known as Brann the Iconoclast. During his life, he gained a reputation as a "brilliant though vitriolic editorialist." He defended lynching Black men accused of rape and called for opponents of this type of mob violence to be castrated. Early life The son of Presbyterian minister Noble J. Brann, he was born in Humboldt, Illinois. When his mother died in 1857, he was sent by his father to live with William and Mary Hawkins, where he stayed until 1868. That year, he ran away from home and took odd jobs in several cities, including working as a painter's helper, a bellboy at a hotel, manager of an opera company, a pitcher in semiprofessional baseball, and a fireman and brakeman on a locomotive. Brann Timothy Dailor ( , born March 19, 1975) is an American musician, best known as a member of heavy metal band Mastodon, in which he is the drummer and one of the vocalists. Career Dailor first started playing in a band called Evisceration from 1991 to 1993, when the band broke up. Dailor was also a founding member of mathcore band Lethargy, and the progressive rock/funk metal band Gaylord and played with Today Is the Day.
