Branko Mirković
Branko Mirković ( sr-cyr, Бранко Мирковић, ; born 5 October 1982) is a Serbian-Bulgarian former professional basketball player. He played at the point guard position. Professional career During his career, Mirković played for KK Smederevo 1953, KK Pelister, BC Rilski Sportist, PBC Lukoil Academic and KK Igokea. On 24 July 2013 he signed with BC Tsmoki-Minsk. On 21 June 2020 he signed with Pieno žvaigždės Pasvalys of the Lithuanian Basketball League. Bulgarian national basketball team In 2013, Mirković accepted to play for the Bulgaria national basketball team after which he received a Bulgarian passport. With the national team, he led all players at FIBA EuroBasket 2015 qualification in minutes played, while averaging 12 points, 4 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Generally, point guards are expected to be proficient in passing the ball and being able to get Assist (basketball), assists to teammates. Korvpalli Meistriliiga
The Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML) is the top-tier men's basketball league in Estonia. The league is organized by the Estonian Basketball Association and played under rules of basketball#International Rules of Basketball, FIBA rules. The competition was founded in 1925. From the 1998–99 season until the end of the 2001–02 season the league was organized by the Eesti Korvpalliklubide Assotsiatsioon (English: Estonian Basketball Clubs' Association). As of the 2018–19 season, Estonian-Latvian Basketball League regular season games count towards the KML standings, followed by KML Play-offs. FIBA EuroBasket 2015 Qualification
This article describes the qualification procedure for EuroBasket 2015. Qualification format In the first qualifying round, 13 teams which didn't qualify for EuroBasket 2013 have been divided into four groups. The winners of each group advance to the knockout stage, composed by two semifinals and one final series under a home-and-away format. The champion of the first qualifying round qualifies directly for EuroBasket 2015, while the rest of the teams join 14 EuroBasket 2013 teams which did not qualify directly for the 2015 edition in the second qualifying round. The Bulgaria men's national basketball team () represents Bulgaria in international basketball. The governing body is the Bulgarian Basketball Federation.
