''Brand New Maid'' is the third studio album by Japanese all-female rock band Band-Maid. It was released on May 18, 2016, and was their first album to be released internationally. Music videos were made for "The Non-Fiction Days," "Before Yesterday," and "Alone." The album reached number 19 on the Japanese Oricon Albums Chart, selling 4,189 copies in its first week. The international album from JPU Records includes English lyric translations, Romaji lyric transliterations, and the live bonus track "Real Existence". Critical reception JaME gave the album a positive review, saying "...they are serious about and capable of realizing their goal of "world domination." J-Generation noted that the album was "bigger, tougher, deeper" than the band's previous releases and that it "...proves Band-Maid’s ready to crush any protests that their cute persona disqualifies them from the "real rock" club. Band-Maid is a Japanese Rock music, rock band formed in 2013, comprising singer Saiki Atsumi, guitarist/singer Miku Kobato, lead guitarist Kanami Tōno, bassist Misa, and drummer Akane Hirose. The band combines hard rock music with costumes modeled on Japanese maid cafés. They are currently signed to Pony Canyon. Their most recent studio album, ''Epic Narratives'', was released in September 2024. JPU Records is a British record label formed in 2012, which specializes in handling international releases by Japanese artists. ''Just Bring It'' is the fourth studio album and first full-length album by Japanese band Band-Maid, released on January 11, 2017 in Japan via Crown Stones and February 10, 2017 internationally by JPU Records. The record was preceded by the quintet's first world tour and the single " YOLO", released in November 2016. The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. A Digital Albums Chart based on download sales was established on November 19, 2016. Akihito Tokunaga
(born 22 September 1971) is a Japanese musician, composer and arranger. After making a name for himself working for Being Inc. in the 1990s, he has been signed to Giza Studio from 2000 until 2023. In 2004, Tokunaga formed the rock band doa (Japanese band), doa. After departure from the agency in 2023, he has become freelancer musician under independent company Floodlight. Hitoshi Okamoto
is a Japanese guitarist, composer, arranger and the former member of the J-pop band Garnet Crow in years 1999 to 2013, as well as some of his own solo releases. Biography Since the release of Okamoto's 2010 solo album "Now Printing...", he has used the stage name "Super Light" for his solo projects. As a solo artist, Okamoto writes the majority of his songs by himself, however, fellow Garnet Crow member Nana Azuki has written lyrics for some of his songs.
