Brahmachari (Hindi Film)
''Brahmachari'' () is a 1968 Indian film. Written by Sachin Bhowmick, it is a G. P. Sippy, G. P. and Ramesh Sippy production directed by Bhappi Sonie. The film stars Shammi Kapoor, Rajshree, Pran (actor), Pran, Mumtaz (Indian actress), Mumtaz, Jagdeep, Sachin (actor), Sachin and Asit Sen. The music was by Shankar Jaikishan. The film became a box office Super Hit and won several awards, including Filmfare Best Movie Award. It was later remade in Tamil as ''Enga Mama'' (1970) and in Telugu language, Telugu as ''Devudu Mamayya'' (1981). The film's main theme was also an inspiration for the 1987 film ''Mr. India (1987 film), Mr. India''. Bhappi Sonie
Bhappi Sonie (31 July 1928 – 5 September 2001) was an Indian film director and producer, in Hindi cinema. He is best known for Shammi Kapoor and Dharmendra hit films, ''Janwar (1965 film), Janwar'' (1965) and ''Brahmachari (Hindi film), Brahmachari'' (1968), and also won Filmfare Award for Best Film. He started his career, assisting Raj Khosla in ''Milap (1955 film), Milap'' (1955), ''C.I.D. (1956 film), C.I.D.'' (1956) and ''Solva Saal'' (1958), before making his directorial debut with ''Ek Phool Char Kaante'' starring Sunil Dutt and Waheeda Rehman. He died on 5 September 2001, while undergoing a heart bypass surgery at Nanavati Hospital, in Mumbai, at the age of 73. Shailendra (30 August 1923 – 14 December 1966) was an Indian Hindi-Urdu poet, lyricist and film producer. He is regarded as one of the greatest and most celebrated lyricists of the Indian film industry. Known for his association with filmmaker Raj Kapoor, singer Mukesh (singer), Mukesh, and composer duo Shankar–Jaikishan, he wrote lyrics for several successful Music of Bollywood, Hindi film songs in the 1950s and 1960s. Rajinder Krishan Duggal (6 June 1919 – 23 September 1987) also credited as Rajendra Krishan, was an Indian poet, lyricist and screenwriter. His poems and lyrics were in the Urdu language. Biography Rajinder Krishan was born in a Duggal family at Jalalpur Jattan on 6 June 1919, in Gujrat District (in present-day Pakistan). Mohammed Rafi
Mohammed Rafi (24 December 1924 – 31 July 1980) was an Indian playback singer. He is considered to have been one of the greatest and most influential singers of the Indian subcontinent. Asit Sen (13 May 1917 – 18 September 1993) was an Indian film director turned famous comedian in the Hindi film industry. He directed 2 films and starred in over 200 films between 1953 and 1993 until his death. As an actor/comedian, he often portrayed a character with authority, such as a police inspector or landlord, but with comic effect, mostly as a slow-speaking person. His acting career was particularly prolific in the 1960s, 1970s, and early 1980s. He had a very thin voice, in striking contrast to his huge physical frame and spoke his dialogues at a slow pace.
