Brad Thomas (baseball)
Bradley Richard Thomas (born 22 October 1977) is a former Australian professional baseball pitcher. He has previously played in MLB for the Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers, in Nippon Professional Baseball for the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters and in the Korea Baseball Organization for the Hanwha Eagles and Chinese Professional Baseball League for the Brother Elephants and Chinatrust Brothers. He bats and throws left-handed. He has retired and now resides in Sydney with his wife Kara-lee Thomas. Professional career Thomas signed as an undrafted free agent in 1995 by the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers released him on 9 May 1997, due to visa issues with the government, and three days later, he signed with the Minnesota Twins. Bradley James Thomas, OAM, (born 1 April 1967) was an Australian Paralympic Athlete who competed in three Paralympic competitions between 1988 and 1996 in an athletic career that spanned 15 years. Thomas was born in Hobart, the capital city of Tasmania. Whilst competing at these Paralympic Games, Thomas received 4 Paralympic medals (1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze). He was in the T44 (classification) and F44 (classification) for his disability and competed in many events. He was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 1997 and also was inducted into the Tasmanian Hall of Fame in 2006. Bradley Mark Thomas (born 29 March 1984) is a footballer, primarily as a centre back. Career After leaving Rokeby School, East London, he started his career under Barry Fry at Peterborough United but failed to make a first-team appearance, being loaned out to Kettering Town, Aldershot Town, Heybridge Swifts, Welling United and Weymouth. He made the switch to Eastleigh in the summer of 2005 but his stay in Hampshire was to be a short one as he was signed by Yeovil Town in January 2006, following the departures of Luke Oliver and Efe Sodje. Whilst at Huish Park, he struggled to break into the first-team, having to settle for a solitary FA Cup substitute appearance. Further loan spells at Tamworth and Boston United provided more regular first-team football. Thomas was ultimately released by Yeovil in the summer of 2007.
