Bowral railway station is a heritage-listed railway station located on the Main Southern line in New South Wales, Australia. It serves the town of Bowral opening on 1 March 1867. Platforms and services Bowral has two side platforms. It is serviced by NSW TrainLink Southern Highlands Line services travelling between Campbelltown and Moss Vale with morning services to Sydney Central and evening services to Goulburn. It is also serviced by NSW TrainLink Xplorer long-distance services from Sydney to Canberra and Griffith. This station is a request stop for this service, so the trains stop only if passengers are booked to board or alight here. Bowral () is the largest town in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia. It is south-west of Sydney and north-east of Canberra. It is the main business and entertainment precinct of the Wingecarribee Shire and the Southern Highlands. Bowral once served as a rural summer retreat for the gentry of Sydney, resulting in the establishment of a number of estates and manor houses in the district. Bowral is often associated with the cricketer Sir Donald Bradman. Bowral is close to several other historic towns, being from Mittagong, from both Moss Vale and Berrima. Bundanoon Railway Station
Bundanoon railway station is a heritage-listed railway station on the Main Southern line in New South Wales, Australia. It serves the small town of Bundanoon. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. History The station opened on 6 August 1868 as Jordans Crossing, being renamed Jordans Siding in 1878 and finally Bundanoon in 1881. The station has a signal box on platform 2 which controls a set of points just to the north of the station. Until the 2005 timetable one afternoon train a day terminated using this setup, the train arriving on platform 1 using the set of points, and departing back towards Campbelltown. This practice was discontinued, the signal box and points closed and the route curtailed to end at Moss Vale. Bundanoon station celebrated 150 years since it opened on Sunday 5 August 2018. Picton railway station is a heritage-listed railway station located on the Main Southern line in the south-western Sydney suburb of Picton in the Wollondilly Shire local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was built from 1863 to 1919. It is also known as the Picton Railway Station group. The property was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. Robertson is a town in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia, in Wingecarribee Shire. The town is located on the edge of an elevated plateau (the Illawarra escarpment) about from the coast. Robertson is known for its high annual rainfall and fertile soil. It was previously covered by an extensive temperate rainforest, most of which has been cleared for farming though remnants such as Robertson Nature Reserve still exist. The town is colloquially known as "Robbo" by the locals. The town is surrounded by lush pasture used for beef and dairy production. It was once famous for cheese production; its distance from, and poor transport to, the Sydney markets meant that in the early days fresh milk was not a viable industry and so the key dairy industries were butter and cheese. Moss Vale is a town in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia. Moss Vale is the administrative centre of Wingecarribee Shire local government area.
