Attila Borsos (born 6 June 1966) is a retired Hungarian handball player. Career Club He started his adult career with the Budapest Spartacus team in 1985. Even then, his talent was well visible, as he was expected to be the winger of the youth team on the team. He didn't even stay in Budapest for a long time, 1 year after his introduction he was certified in the NB I team of Tatabányai Bányász SC, who won the championship the previous year. Jozsef Borsos (21 December 1821, in Veszprém – 19 August 1883, in Budapest) was a Hungarian people, Hungarian portrait painter and photographer; best known for his Genre art, genre paintings in the Biedermeier style. Life and work His father, was a lawyer, editor and publisher. From 1837, he was a student of the religious artist, , in Budapest. He transferred to the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna in 1840, where he studied with Leopold Kupelwieser. In 1843, he changed schools again, attending a private academy operated by Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller. He initially chose to live in Vienna, with a large clientele from the Austrian aristocracy. Financially successful, he lost most of his money speculating in the stock market, and returned to Budapest in 1861. Miklós Borsos
Miklós Borsos (13 August 1906 – 27 January 1990) was a Hungary, Hungarian sculpture, sculptor and medallist. His style integrated elements of archaic art and classicism with modern art, modern elements. Biography Born in Nagyszeben, Transylvania, Kingdom of Hungary (present-day Sibiu, Romania), he and his family fled to Győr in 1916, after the Romanian invasion; they settled there in 1922. Borsos and his wife lived in the same Győr house until the end of World War II. He became interested in art and particularly sculpture in the late 1920s. He initially began as a painter, he dedicated his interest to sculpture during the 1930s, and became accomplished in the latter art by 1940. In 1928 and 1929 he spent travelled from Venice to Marseille. In 1929 he briefly trained at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts under Oszkár Glatz, which was his only formal training. Tamás Borsos de Ozd (Hungarian ponounciation:; Marosvásárhely, 14 June 1566 – after 1633) was a Hungarian politician and diplomat in the Principality of Transylvania, who served as mayor of Marosvásárhely (now: Târgu Mureș, Romania), then ambassador of Gabriel Bethlen, Prince of Transylvania to the Ottoman Empire. Life He was the son of historian Sebestény Borsos. In 1597, he served as notary, from 1602 till 1604, he was the mayor (chief judge) of Marosvásárhely. During the fights of the Long War, the old fortress of Marosvásárhely was destroyed, and did not give shelter to the inhabitants.
