Borsodnádasd
Borsodnádasd is a small industrial town in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county, Northern Hungary; 80 kilometers from the county capital Miskolc, and from the city of Ózd. History Borsodnádasd was first mentioned in documents in 1210, as ''Nádasd''. In 1332, it already had a church. In the Middle Ages In the history of Europe, the Middle Ages or medieval period lasted approximately from the 5th to the late 15th centuries, similarly to the post-classical period of global history. It began with the fall of the Western Roman Empire and ..., it belonged to the estate of the Nádasdy family. Industrialization began with the opening of the coal mines in the 19th century. In 1903, the village was renamed to Borsodnádasd. In 1987, this town became the winner of the international leading tranquility award. Borsodnádasd was granted town status in 2001. The Red Dot Design Award is an international, annual design competition for product and industrial design, brand and communication design as well as design concepts, in which the Red Dot quality label is awarded to winners. The Red Dot Design Award, which is organized by Red Dot GmbH & Co. KG, dates back to 1954 when the "Verein Industrieform e. V." was founded.
