Borregos Salvajes Monterrey
The Borregos Salvajes Monterrey (English: ''Monterrey Wild Rams'') football team represents the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (variously Tec de Monterrey or ITESM) in the sport of American football. The Borregos Salvajes are one of the most successful programs in Mexico, having won 15 national titles, including five consecutive from 2004 to 2008, being the only team to achieve such a feat. From 2020, the team competes in the Conferencia Jacinto Licea of the ONEFA. Randal C. Archibold of ''The New York Times'' called the program the "Alabama Crimson Tide football, Alabama Crimson Tide of Mexico". Estadio Borregos
Estadio Borregos, also referred to as Estadio Banorte for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-purpose stadium in Monterrey, Mexico. It is the home stadium for the college football team Borregos Salvajes Monterrey of the ONEFA and the professional American football team Fundidores de Monterrey from the Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesional. The Borregos Salvajes competed in the top-tier Conferencia 14 Grandes and played their home games at the Estadio Borregos in Monterrey.
