Boris Nikolić
Boris Nikolić (Fashion designer) ( sr-Cyrl, Борис Николић; 1974-2008) was a Serbian fashion designer who had become something of an icon since his death in 2008. In his ten-year career, he became a respected and award-winning designer in Serbia. He was known for combining contrasting elements and using striped motifs, as well as for employing unusual titles for his collections. Career Nikolić studied at the Academy of Applied Arts in Belgrade. In 1998, Nikolić began working as a fashion designer in Belgrade, Serbia. He and fellow designer Ana Ljubinković opened the shop "Peekaboo" together in 2006. Nikolić also worked as a stylist at the B92 Television network. In 1998, 1999 and 2001, Nikolić was a finalist at the Smirnoff Fashion Awards. He also won the BazArt Prize three times at Belgrade Fashion Week, where he presented his clothing line in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2004. Ana Ljubinković
Ana Ljubinković ( sr-Cyrl, Ана Љубинковић; born 1985) is a Serbian fashion designer known for clothing that merges "... comic, retro-futuristic and couture elements together". Her designs have been worn by musicians, including Lady Gaga. Career Ljubinković studied painting at the University of Belgrade and graduated with a bachelor's in fine art in 2002. She had her first runway show in 2004 at Belgrade Fashion Week and has since participated numerous times, winning several awards. In 2006, she opened the Peekaboo shop with fellow Serbian designer Boris Nikolic. In 2015, Ljubinković presented her collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Central Europe in Budapest. Belgrade Fashion Week
Belgrade Fashion Week is a fashion show held in Belgrade, Serbia twice a year. It is the largest event of its kind in the country. Attracting international buyers and industry experts, the show has helped launch the careers of several Serbian fashion designers, such as George Styler, Ivana Pilja, Ana Ljubinkovic, and Boris Nikolic. British designer Roksanda Ilincic, who is originally from Serbia, has regularly presented her collections at the show since 2002.
