Borgundøya
Borgundøya or Borgundøy is an island in Kvinnherad municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The island lies in the Hardangerfjorden, immediately south of the island of Fjelbergøya. The island has about 79 residents (in 2017), with about four larger village areas spread out around the island. The island is dominated by the tall mountain ''Borgundnuten''. Borgundøya is only accessible by sea, either using ferries or personal boats. There are regular ferry routes from Borgundøya- Fjelbergøya-Halsnøy- Utbjoa, connecting several islands to the mainland in Vindafjord at Utbjoa. Fjelbergøya
Fjelbergøya is an island in Kvinnherad Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The island lies on the south side of the Hardangerfjorden, between the islands of Borgundøya (to the south) and Halsnøya (to the northeast). These three neighboring islands are located very close together, only a few hundred meters separate them at certain points. Historically, this island was the centre of the old municipality of Fjelberg. Today, the islands of Fjelbergøya and Borgundøya are still often referred to as ''Fjelberg''. The island is only accessible by the sea, either using ferries or personal boats. There are regular ferry routes from Leirvik-Borgundøya-Fjelbergøya-Halsnøy- Utbjoa, connecting several islands to the mainland in Vindafjord at Utbjoa. Halsnøy
Halsnøya or Halsnøy is an island in Kvinnherad municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The island lies between the Hardangerfjorden and Skånevikfjorden. The island has about 2,300 inhabitants (2008) and it is the most populated island in Kvinnherad municipality. Prior to 2008, it was the most populated island in Norway without a direct connection to land, but the Halsnøy Tunnel opened that year, finally connecting it to the mainland by road. There is a regular ferry connection from southern Halsnøy to the neighboring islands of Fjelbergøya and Borgundøya, located just south of Halsnøy. Utbjoa
Bjoa is a village in Vindafjord municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located along the coast of the Bjoafjorden, just across the fjord from the island of Borgundøya. The village has a kindergarten and an elementary school, serving the northern portion of Vindafjord municipality. Bjoa is the site of a large blueberry farm as well as several companies such as Tveit Maskin AS and T.Sandsgård Anlegg AS. The headquarters of Granberg AS is also located in Innbjoa. Granberg is the biggest import company in Norway for Gloves. Bjoa Church is also located in the village. Gråhorga or Gråhorjo is the tallest mountain in the area, at 740m (2,100ft) above sea level. Sentinel-2 is an Earth observation mission from the Copernicus Programme that acquires optical imagery at high spatial resolution (10 m to 60 m) over land and coastal waters. The mission's Sentinel-2A and Sentinel-2B satellites were joined in orbit in 2024 by a third, Sentinel-2C, and in the future by Sentinel-2D, eventually replacing the A and B satellites, respectively. The Hardangerfjord () is the fifth longest fjord in the world, and the List of Norwegian fjords, second longest fjord in Norway. It is located in Vestland county in the Hardanger region.
