Borg is a tiny hamlet just north of the village of Bøstad in Vestvågøy Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. Nordlandshest
The Nordlandshest/Lyngshest also known as the "Nordland/Lyngen horse", "nordland horse" or "Lyngen horse", is a horse breed originating in Norway. It is the smallest of the three Norwegian national horse breeds. It originated in Lyngen, but was given the name Nordlandshest in 1968 by breeders in that area. The Lofotr Viking Museum ( no, Lofotr Vikingmuseum) is a historical museum based on a reconstruction and archaeological excavation of a Viking chieftain's village on the island of Vestvågøya in the Lofoten archipelago in Nordland county, Norway. Borge Church
Borge Church ( no, Borge kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Vestvågøy Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located just outside of the village of Bøstad on the island of Vestvågøya. It is the church for the Borge parish which is part of the Lofoten prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The red and white concrete church was built in a fan-shaped style in 1986 using plans drawn up by the architect Knut Gjernes. The church seats about 600 people. The building was consecrated on 31 May 1987. History Borge Church is first mentioned in written sources in a document from 1335, but the church was not built that year. There likely have been six churches on this site over the centuries. The original church was located about northwest of the present church site. Vestvågøya or Vest-Vågøy is an island in the Lofoten archipelago in Nordland county, Norway. The island is located within Vestvågøy Municipality. The island lies between the islands of Austvågøya and Gimsøya to the northeast and Flakstadøya to the southwest. There are also several small islands and skerries surrounding the island. Vestvågøya makes up over 97% of the municipal area and about 99% of the inhabitants of the municipality live on the island. European Route E10
European route E10 is the second shortest Class A road which is part of the International E-road network. It begins in Å, Norway and ends in Luleå, Sweden. The road is about 850 km (530 mi) in length. The Norwegian part of the road is also named Kong Olav Vs vei (King Olav V's road). The road follows the route Å – Leknes – Svolvær – Gullesfjordbotn – Evenes – Bjerkvik – Kiruna – Töre – Luleå. Most of the road is paved and two-lane, with the exception of some bridges between islands in Nordland.
