Bootcamp (band)
Bootcamp was an American rock band, popular in the early 1980s. Their songs included "Victim" and "Hold On to the Night". They were one of the first artists whose videos were shown on MTV's first day on air. Bootcamp originated in Baltimore, Maryland and had a loyal following there and in New York City, at various times sharing the concert bill with The Tubes, Squeeze, The B-52's and Split Enz. Bootcamp also acted as the support band for New York's R.A Questar, a vocal duo headed by the songwriters Robert Alan and Questar Welsh. Original "Banzai Boy", Tim Camp has been recording and performing as "Slim Man" with the drummer Howie "Hit Man" Zizzi, since Bootcamp disbanded. Guitarist "Rockin'" Rob Fallin joins them for occasional shows. Camp hosted a smooth jazz radio show for a while. The Tubes
The Tubes are a San Francisco-based rock band. Their eponymous 1975 debut album included the single " White Punks on Dope," while their 1983 single "She's a Beauty" was a top-10 U.S. hit and its music video was frequently played in the early days of MTV. The band also performed in the 1980 film ''Xanadu'', singing the rock portion of the cross-genre song "Dancin'" opposite a big band. Squeeze (band)
Squeeze are an English rock band that came to prominence in the United Kingdom during the new wave period of the late 1970s, and continued recording in the 1980s, 1990s and 2010s. In the UK, their singles " Cool for Cats", " Up the Junction", and "Labelled with Love" were top-ten chart hits; "Pulling Mussels" only made it to 44 in the UK charts. Though not as commercially successful in the United States, Squeeze had American hits with " Tempted", "Black Coffee in Bed", and " Hourglass", and were considered a part of the Second British Invasion. The vast majority of their material is composed of lyrics by Chris Difford and music by Glenn Tilbrook, who are guitarists and vocalists in the band. The B-52's
The B-52's, also styled as The B-52s, are an American new wave band formed in Athens, Georgia, in 1976. The original lineup consisted of Fred Schneider (vocals, percussion), Kate Pierson (vocals, keyboards, synth bass), Cindy Wilson (vocals, percussion), Ricky Wilson (guitar), and Keith Strickland (drums, guitar, keyboards). Ricky Wilson died of AIDS-related illness in 1985, and Strickland switched from drums to lead guitar. The band also added various members for albums and live performances. A songwriter is a musician who professionally composes musical compositions or writes lyrics for songs, or both. Swarm Of The Snakehead
''Swarm of the Snakehead'' is a 2006 comedy/horror feature film directed by Frank A. Lama and Joel C. Denning and written by Seth Hurwitz. It is the first feature from producers Lama and Hurwitz's Baltimore-based production company Ten Pound Films. The ensemble cast includes Gunnar Hansen (''The Texas Chain Saw Massacre''), Rigg Kennedy ('' Slumber Party Massacre'') and Miss Maryland Teen USA 2006 Jamie O'Brien. ''Swarm of the Snakehead'' was shot on 16 mm film in and around Easton, Maryland between 2002 and 2005. Post-production was completed during the summer of 2006.
