Boiçucanga is a beach and neighborhood in the city of São Sebastião, Brazil, located on São Paulo state's northern coastline. São Sebastião (Portuguese language, Portuguese for Saint Sebastian) is a Brazilian Municipalities of Brazil, municipality, located on the southeast coast of Brazil, in the state of São Paulo (state), São Paulo. The Microregion of Caraguatatuba (), often referred to as Litoral Norte (''Northern Coastline''), is a microregion in the easternmost coastal part of São Paulo State, Brazil. The microregion is bordered by the state of Rio de Janeiro to the east. It is a famous touristic destination, mainly because of the 160 beaches. Tupiniquim (also Tupinã-ki, Topinaquis, Tupinaquis, Tupinanquins; plural: Tupiniquins) are an indigenous people of Brazil of the Tupi family, who now live in three indigenous territories (''Terras Indígenas'' in Portuguese). Beaches Of Brazil
A beach is a landform alongside a body of water which consists of loose particles. The particles composing a beach are typically made from rock, such as sand, gravel, shingle, pebbles, etc., or biological sources, such as mollusc shells or coralline algae. Sediments settle in different densities and structures, depending on the local wave action and weather, creating different textures, colors and gradients or layers of material. Though some beaches form on inland freshwater locations such as lakes and rivers, most beaches are in coastal areas where wave or current action deposits and reworks sediments.
