''Boissière'' is a 1937 French war drama film directed by Fernand Rivers and starring Andrée Spinelly, Pierre Renoir and Suzanne Desprès. It is an adaptation of the 1935 novel of the same title by Pierre Benoit.Goble p.36 The film's sets were designed by the art director Robert Gys. Paul Isaac Welsa (known professionally as Paul Velsa; 29 December 1905 – 20 May 1944) was a French stage and film actor.Alpi p.346 He appeared in more than thirty films between 1928 and 1938. Jean Périer
Jean (Alexis) Périer (2 February 1869 – 3 November 1954) was a French operatic baryton-martin and actor. Although he sang principally within the operetta repertoire, Périer did portray a number of opera roles; mostly within operas by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Giacomo Puccini. His career was almost entirely centered in Paris and he had a long association with the Opéra-Comique. He sang in a large number of world premieres, most notably originating the role of Pelléas in Debussy's '' Pelléas et Mélisande'' in 1902.
