''Gerald McBoing-Boing'' is a Flash-animated children's television series based on the 1950 animated short film '' Gerald McBoing-Boing'', that aired on Cartoon Network in the United States (as part of their then-'' Tickle-U'' programming block) for its first 14 episodes from August 22, 2005 to 2006. The series aired on Teletoon in Canada, premiering on August 29, 2005 and ending its first season on November 28, 2007. It also aired on ABC Kids in Australia. It was set to later air in reruns on Boomerang around 2007. It uses the same basic art style as the original except more detailed: each 11-minute episode features a series of vignettes with Gerald, of what the "fantasy tales" are done in Seussian rhyme. Sound checks, gags, and "real-life" portions of the show are also included. Pascual Boing is a Mexican soft drink maker mostly known for its fruit flavored beverages marketed under the Pascual, Boing! and Lulú brands. The enterprise was begun in 1940 and successfully held against the entrance of foreign competitors in the Mexican market. However, continued labor disputes led to a strike in 1982, which ended in 1985 with the workers obtaining the right to take over the company, running it as a cooperative. Since then, it has remained a profitable business although it has lost market share in Mexico, due to competition from Coca-Cola and Pepsi. ''Gerald McBoing-Boing'' is an animated short film about a little boy who speaks through sound effects instead of spoken words. Produced by United Productions of America (UPA), it was given a wide release by Columbia Pictures on November 2, 1950. The story was adapted by Phil Eastman and Bill Scott from a story by Dr. Seuss. Robert Cannon directed the short film, with John Hubley (also a producer) as the supervising director; Stephen Bosustow served as an executive producer. Marvin Miller was the narrator. Yabus River
The Yabus River (or Khor Yabus) rises in the far west of Ethiopia, in Asosa Zone, flows west into Sudan past the town of Yabus, then enters South Sudan. At the town of Bunj it turns south west and enters the Machar Marshes, page 112 where it loses its identity. The river is sometimes confused with the Dabus River, a tributary of the Blue Nile, also known as the Yabus River. The sources of the two rivers are close to each other.
