Bohumil Staša (29 April 1944 – 21 May 2019) was a Grand Prix motorcycle road racer from the former Czechoslovakia. Staša began his Grand Prix career in 1961. Ulster Grand Prix
The Ulster Grand Prix is a defunct motorcycle racing, motorcycle road racing, road race which took place on the Dundrod Circuit made up entirely of closed-off public roads near Belfast, Northern Ireland. Due to the races having the fastest average speed over a single lap of any motorcycle road race, it was the fastest race of its kind (Road Racing) in the world. The lap record of 136.415 mph (219.539 km/h) was set by Peter Hickman in the 2019 superbike race, a faster average than the Isle of Man TT lap record, which stands at 136.358mph (219.446 km/h) as of 2024, set also by Peter Hickman. 1969 Isle Of Man TT
The 1969 Isle of Man TT, the fourth round of the 1969 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season, involved a number of races on the Mountain Course on the Isle of Man. For the second year running Giacomo Agostini won both the Junior and Senior races, completing the six laps of the latter race in 2:09.40.2 to win by almost nine minutes. There were three "production" categories; Malcolm Uphill won the 750 cc, Graham Penny the 500 cc and Mike Rogers the 250 cc. German pairs won both sidecar events; Klaus Enders and Ralf Engelhardt in the 500 cc and Siegfried Schauzu and H.Schneider in the 750 cc. Finnish Motorcycle Grand Prix
The Finnish motorcycle Grand Prix was part of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM Grand Prix motorcycle racing championship from 1962 to 1982. It was held at the Tampere Circuit in 1962 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season, 1962 and 1963 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season, 1963 before moving to the Imatra Circuit. Giacomo Agostini won the most Finnish Grands Prix with ten 500cc victories and seven 350cc victories. In July 2016, it was announced the Grand Prix would return on the new Kymi Ring circuit. After a 5-year contract was agreed, to start with a scheduled event 2021 MotoGP World Championship, in 2021, this was cancelled on 14 May 2021 due to COVID-19. Belgian Motorcycle Grand Prix
The Belgian motorcycle Grand Prix was a motorcycling event that was part of the Grand Prix motorcycle racing season from 1949 to 1990. History The first official Belgian Grand Prix was held in 1949, but non-championship races were held as far back as 1921. Every Belgian GP was held at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, with the exception of the 1980 season when the round moved to the Zolder circuit due to problems with the new asphalt at Spa-Francorchamps in 1979. After the problems were resolved, Spa-Francorchamps became the host again from 1981 onwards. The last race was held in 1990, and was subject to controversy. The Italian motorcycle Grand Prix is a motorcycling event that is part of the FIM Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. From 1949 to 1990 the event was known by the (''Nations Grand Prix''). The German motorcycle Grand Prix, first held in 1925, is a motorcycling event that is part of the FIM Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. The event is due to take place at the Sachsenring until at least 2026. Japanese Motorcycle Grand Prix
The Japanese motorcycle Grand Prix (日本グランプリ) is a motorcycling event that is part of the FIM Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. The main venue that held the races for years was the Suzuka Circuit, until it permanently was replaced by the Mobility Resort Motegi from 2004 onwards after the circuit faced criticism for its short runoff areas and dangerous trackside barriers, causing the death of Japanese rider Daijiro Kato and the injuries of Marco Melandri and Alex Barros at the 2003 Japanese Grand Prix. As a result, Suzuka was faced with making considerable safety alterations to avoid a possible strike by the riders – many of whom believed the 240 hp motorbikes had outgrown the tight circuit. The FIM stated that the modifications would not be completed before 2005 and that, therefore, the 2004 Japanese Grand Prix would be held at Motegi, but Suzuka has not appeared on the calendar since. Czech Republic Motorcycle Grand Prix
The Czech Republic motorcycle Grand Prix is a motorcycling event that is part of the Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. Before 1993, the race was known as the Czechoslovak motorcycle Grand Prix. Since 1965, the race was a part of world Grand Prix series (between 1983 in sports, 1983 and 1986 in sports, 1986 race was held as a part of European Grand Prix series only). Since 1987 the race was held on the newly built Brno Circuit, the historical track led through the streets of western parts of Brno and neighboring villages, such as Bosonohy and Žebětín. It was the most prestigious motor race in the country. Brno has also held the most motorcycle championship rounds in the sport's history after the TT Circuit Assen.
