Boherlahan–Dualla GAA
Boherlahan–Dualla GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club associated with the villages of Boherlahan and Dualla, County Tipperary, Dualla in County Tipperary, Ireland. The parish of Boherlahan–Dualla is a large parish in Tipperary, and Boherlahan-Dualla GAA club competes in the Mid-Tipperary Division. The Boherlahan–Dualla parish borders seven parishes from three separate divisions, Holycross–Ballycahill GAA and Moycarkey–Borris GAA to the north who play in the Mid-Tipperary division, to the west it borders Knockavilla–Donaskeigh Kickhams GAA, Clonoulty–Rossmore GAA, Golden–Kilfeacle GAA and Cashel King Cormacs GAA, all of whom play in the West Tipperary division, and to the east, Killenaule GAA who play in the South Tipperary division. The club is primarily involved in hurling, and throughout its history has produced many hurlers who have competed for the club and for the Tipperary county team. Gaelic Athletic Association
The Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA; ; CLG) is an Irish international amateur sports, amateur sporting and cultural organisation, focused primarily on promoting indigenous Gaelic games and pastimes, which include the traditional Irish sports of hurling, camogie, Gaelic football, Gaelic handball, and GAA rounders. The association also promotes Irish music and Irish dance, dance, as well as the Irish language and it also promotes environmental stewardship through its Green Clubs initiative. Flor Coffey
Florence Coffey (10 June 1920 – 25 April 2014) was an Irish hurler who played as a centre-back for the Tipperary senior team. Born in Boherlahen, County Tipperary, Coffey first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor team before later joining the junior side. He made his senior debut during the 1943 championship. Coffey immediately became a regular member of the team and won two All-Ireland medals, one Munster medal and one National Hurling League medal. As a member of the Munster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Coffey won one Railway Cup medal as a non-playing substitute. At club level he was a two-time Connacht medallist, firstly with Boherlahan–Dualla and later with Thurles Sarsfields. Denis Walsh (Tipperary Hurler)
Denis Walsh (10 February 1877 – 22 December 1952) was an Irish hurler. His championship career with the Tipperary senior team spanned three decades years from 1895 until 1916. Walsh first came to prominence on the inter-county scene at the age of 21 when he was selected for the Tipperary senior team. He made his debut during the delayed 1895 championship and quickly became a regular member of the team. In an inter-county career that spanned twenty years, Walsh won five All-Ireland medals, beginning with four championships in-a-row between 1895 and 1899 and ending with a fifth and final winners' medal in 1916. Ned Wade (hurler)
Ned Wade (1911-4 May 1992) was an Irish hurler who played as a midfielder and as a centre-forward for the Tipperary and Dublin senior teams. Born in Boherlahan, County Tipperary, Wade first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor team before later joining the junior side. He joined the senior panel during the 1931 championship. Wade subsequently joined the Dublin senior team and won three Leinster medals. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on four occasions. As a member of the Leinster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Wade won three Railway Cup medals. At club level he was a seven-time cham pionship medallist with Faughs. Tommy Ryan (1890s Hurler)
Tommy Ryan (born Joseph Youngs; March 31, 1870 – August 3, 1948) was an American-Canadian World Welterweight and World Middleweight boxing champion who fought from 1887 to 1907. His simultaneously holding records in both weight classes was a rare and impressive feat for a boxer. His record is a topic that has been up for debate for decades. As of May 2021, Boxrec.com lists his official record as 82–2–13 (68KO). The International Boxing Hall of Fame lists his record as 86–3–6 (22KO). Pat Power (hurler)
Patrick Power (born 1959) is an Irish former hurler. At club level he played with Boherlahan-Dualla and was also a member of the Tipperary senior hurling team. He usually lined out as a forward. Career Power first played juvenile and underage hurling with the Boherlahan–Dualla club before joining the club's senior team. He first appeared on the inter-county scene with the Tipperary minor team that won the All-Ireland Minor Championship in 1976. Power progressed onto the Tipperary under-21 team and won back-to-back All-Ireland Under-21 Championship titles in 1979 and 1980. Mick Leahy (hurler)
Michael Leahy (1 March 1895 – 13 April 1950) was an Irish hurler who played as a left corner-forward for the Tipperary and Cork senior teams from 1916 until 1931. Leahy joined the Tipperary team as a substitute during the 1916 championship and lined out at irregular intervals over the course of the following decade. Thomas Kevin (1927 – 19 October 2009) was an Irish hurler who played for the Tipperary senior team. Born in Boherlahen, County Tipperary, Kevin first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor team before later joining the junior side. He joined the senior panel during the 1951 championship. Kevin was a member of the team for just one year, however, during that time he won one All-Ireland medal and one Munster medal as a non-playing substitute. John Coffey (hurler)
John Coffey (14 January 1918 – 11 August 2019) was an Irish hurler. His league and championship career with the Tipperary senior spanned nine seasons from 1940 until 1948. As of 2018, he was one of only four All-Ireland hurling medallists to have become a centenarian. Coffey made his debut on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he was selected for the Tipperary minor team. He enjoyed three championship seasons with the minor team, the highlight of which was the winning of an All-Ireland medal in his debut year in 1934. Coffey subsequently joined the Tipperary junior team and played without success between 1936 and 1940.
