Bogdan Macovei (born 28 January 1983 in Vatra Dornei, Romania) is a Romanian-born Moldovan luger who has competed since 2003. Competing in two Winter Olympics, he earned his best finish of 30th in the men's singles event at Turin in 2006. Vatra Dornei (; german: Dorna-Watra; hu, Dornavátra) is a town in Suceava County, north-eastern Romania. It is situated in the historical region of Bukovina. Vatra Dornei is the fifth largest urban settlement in the county, with a population of 14,429 inhabitants, according to the 2011 census.
