Blutonium Boy
Dirk Adamiak (born 1970), better known by his stage name Blutonium Boy, is a hardstyle producer and DJ from Germany. He started playing as a DJ in 1988. Career In 1986, Blutonium Boy began his DJ career in a small club in southern Germany. In 1988, he quit his job to concentrate on his music more freely and within a year he played in front of 2,500 visitors and started to receive booking requests from abroad. In 1997, he founded the record label ''Blutonium Records'', where he released his first work ''Dreams in my Fantasy'', as DJ Session One. Worldwide marketing via EastWest (Warner) with airplay on Viva helped him to reach the breakthrough. In the following years, Blutonium Records developed into the Blutonium Media Germany Group, which has now published more than 170 works with several sub-labels and operates a social network for musicians under the name ''Blupile''. Hardstyle is an electronic dance music, electronic dance genre that emerged in the late 1990s, with origins in the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy. Hardstyle mixes influences from techno, new beat and Hardcore (electronic dance music genre), hardcore. Early hardstyle was typically written at 140 Tempo, BPM (''beats per minute''); however, modern hardstyle is faster, produced around 150 BPM. It consisted of overdriven and hard-sounding kick drums, often accompanied by an offbeat bass, known as a "reverse bass". As the genre grew, the production techniques and songwriting changed to be suited to a more commercial audience. VIVA Germany
Viva (stylized VIVA, but not an acronym according to program director Dieter Gorny) was a German free-to-air music television channel, first broadcast on 1 December 1993. The channel was intended to compete against MTV Europe and was the sole German-language music TV channel after the closure of musicbox in 1988, while MTV was only broadcast in English until the introduction of MTV Germany in 1997. It was also supposed to focus more on German music and pop culture while MTV only broadcast anglophone music by artists primarily from North America, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia. Showtek is a Dutch electronic dance music duo consisting of two brothers from Eindhoven, Wouter Janssen (; born 20 August 1982). and Sjoerd Janssen (; born 6 April 1984). The duo regularly manages to reach the top of multiple music charts and work with artists such as Tiësto, Chris Brown and David Guetta. Showtek was ranked 17th in the DJ Magazine, Top 100 DJs list of 2014 but by the magazine's 2016 list, they had dropped to 96th. Electric Daisy Carnival, commonly known as EDC, is an electronic dance music festival organized by promoter and distributor Insomniac. The annual flagship event, EDC Las Vegas, is held in May at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and is the largest electronic dance music festival in North America as of 2024.
