Blindness
Visual or vision impairment (VI or VIP) is the partial or total inability of visual perception. In the absence of treatment such as corrective eyewear, assistive devices, and medical treatment, visual impairment may cause the individual difficulties with normal daily tasks, including reading and walking. In addition to the various permanent conditions, fleeting temporary vision impairment, amaurosis fugax, may occur, and may indicate serious medical problems. The most common causes of visual impairment globally are uncorrected refractive errors (43%), cataracts (33%), and glaucoma (2%). Refractive errors include near-sightedness, far-sightedness, presbyopia, and astigmatism (eye), astigmatism. Cataracts are the most common cause of blindness. Deep Purple (album)
''Deep Purple'', also referred to as ''Deep Purple III'', is the third studio album by the English rock band Deep Purple, released in June 1969 on Tetragrammaton Records in the United States and only in September 1969 on Harvest Records in the United Kingdom. Its release was preceded by the single "Emmaretta" and by a long tour in the UK, whose dates were interspersed between the album's recording sessions. The music of this album is mostly original and a combination of progressive rock, hard rock and psychedelic rock, but with a harder edge and with the guitar parts in more evidence than in the past. This was due both to the growth of guitarist Ritchie Blackmore as a songwriter and to the conflicts within the band over the fusion of classical music and rock proposed by keyboard player Jon Lord and amply implemented in the band's previous releases. The band started their second US tour in April 1969 with little support from their almost-bankrupt American label and without ... Veil (album)
''Veil'' is the fourth studio album by American noise rock band Band of Susans. After establishing their "classic-line up" with their previous album ''The Word and the Flesh'' (1991), and recording the EP ''Now (EP), Now'' (1992), the band aimed for a new, more sonic and experimental direction on ''Veil'', after the more song-centric approach to ''The Word and the Flesh''. Recording the album in early 1993, ''Veil'' shows the band expand the margins of their sound with a more experimental approach. The album was described as "smokey" by one critic and an "epic swell of guitar and noise" by another. The album has been said to combine "rhythm and blues, R&B rhythms with crushed sonic shards," and has been compared to, and is sometimes considered to be shoegazing music. The album was released in July 1993 by Restless Records in the United States and by Rough Trade Records in Germany. It was a critical success, with critics complimenting its sonic and textural sound. Blind (SZA Song)
"Blind" is a song by American singer-songwriter SZA from her second studio album, ''SOS'' (2022). It is a beatless R&B and folk-pop song, featuring an orchestral production that consists of acoustic guitars, violas, and trumpets. SZA's vocal performance combines a rap cadence and slow falsetto vocals, with added vocal runs. In the song, SZA explores the duality of love and muses on a former relationship, as she expresses her disappointment to a toxic past partner while also expressing her continued attraction to him. For the chorus, SZA admits her insecurities in spite of seeking validation through sex, feeling empty and unable to find self-love within herself as a result of a failed romance. "Blind" also incorporates several pop culture references to figures such as Bob Saget and Jesus. Critics complimented "Blind" for its humor, orchestral production, and wordplay; some called it an album standout. The song's honest, personal songwriting was a main point of commentary, wit ... Blind (Korn Song)
"Blind" is a song by American nu metal band Korn for their self-titled debut album. It was released as the album's first single in August 1994. Music and structure "Blind" had been written while Jonathan Davis was in Sexart before he left the band to join Korn. Korn's contribution came once they re-recorded the song for their debut album LP 1994. Even though the song was completed by Sexart, Korn added an extended song intro (which is a faster interpolation of the drum intro to Too Many Puppies by Primus), utilizing drum cymbals, and added a small bass line. Their addition acted as an intro that led into the original intro composed by Sexart. Also, Korn applied a small musical change away from Sexart's version, which landed under the vocal chorus ''"I'm so blind"'' lyric, a change that did not occur until the Korn LP was recorded. SexArt's original music piece was present on Korn's demo Neidermayer's Mind 1993. Korn also tailored the song ending, being the bass coda at t ...
