Blažej Baláž
Blažej Baláž (born 29 October 1958) is a Slovak contemporary artist. His practise as an artist is usually associated with political art, environmental, activist, mail-art and neo-conceptualism. After 1988 he began working with text as art, neo-conceptual and post-conceptual texts (intext, outtext). Life and work Baláž was born in Nevoľné, Czechoslovakia (today Slovakia). He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Bratislava, and his Magister of Fine Arts degree received in 1983. Baláž has been the Head of Department of Fine Arts Education at the University of Trnava since 1999. He was a founder member of the artists group East of Eden (1998). Since 1979, he has been married to the artist Mária Balážová. He lives and works in Trnava. He has worked in the areas of political, environmental, activist and neo-conceptual art. Blažej Vaščák (born 21 November 1983) is a Slovak former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Vaščák started his professional career with Slovakian side Košice. With the club he made 16 appearances in two season. In 2003, he moved to AS Trenčín, and in just six months scored one goal in a total of 14 appearances. Following an impressive spell, he moved to Artmedia Petržalka and would score nine goals in 57 appearances over the course of two seasons. He then moved to Italy with Serie A side Treviso. In his first season with the club, they were relegated to Serie B. He would maintain a starting spot and score 5 goals in just over 30 appearances. In 2007, he moved to fellow Serie B side Lecce for €600,000 in co-ownership deal, making 12 appearances and scoring once. In June 2007 Lecce bought him outright for undisclosed fee. Jan Blažej Santini Aichel, also spelled Aichl (, ; 3 February 1677 – 7 December 1723) was a Czech architect of Italian descent, whose major works are representative of the unique Baroque Gothic style. Biography He was born on the day of Saint Blaise as the oldest son to a respectable family of Prague stonemasons (his grandfather Antonio Aichel moved from Cadempino to Prague in the 1630s) and was baptized in the St. Vitus Cathedral as Johann Blasius Aichel. He was born with extensive physical disabilities, preventing him from following in his father's footsteps. He studied painting under the Bohemian Court painter Christian Schröder. Captain Franciszek Błażej ( noms de guerre "Roman", "Bogusław") was born on 27 October 1907 in Nosówka, in Austrian Galicia. He was a professional officer of the Polish Army and participated in the Polish September Campaign.
