Black pudding is a distinct national type of blood sausage originating in the United Kingdom and Ireland. John Jamieson (3 March 1759 – 12 July 1838) was a Scottish minister of religion, lexicographer, philologist and antiquary. His most important work is the ''Etymological Dictionary of the Scottish Language''.
