Bjørn Jenssen
Bjørn Jenssen (born 1959 in Bodø (town), Bodø, Norway) is a Norwegian jazz musician (drums), known from a number of recordings, and steady drummer in the band Dance with a Stranger (band), Dance With a Stranger. Career Jenssen started playing drums 1974 in local Bodø bands like "Dynamite Rockers" and "Kjell Bartholsen Band". He relocated to Oslo in 1976, and was engaged in bands like "Saluki", "Paul Weeden Band", Bill Mulholland, Bill Mulholland Quintet, "Susanne Fuhr Band" (1977–79), "Ruphus" (1979), "Chipahua" (1979–81), Jon Eberson, Jon Eberson Group (1980–87), Jazzpunkensemblet, Dance With a Stranger (two times awarded Spellemannprisen). In addition Jenssen has collaborated with musicians like Bjørn Eidsvåg, Trygve Henrik Hoff, Vazelina Bilopphøggers, Kari Bremnes oand Reidar Larsen. Dance With A Stranger
''Dance with a Stranger'' is a 1985 British film directed by Mike Newell (director), Mike Newell. Telling the story of Ruth Ellis, the last woman to be hanged in Britain (1955), the film won critical acclaim, and aided the careers of two of its leading actors, Miranda Richardson and Rupert Everett. The screenplay was by Shelagh Delaney, author of ''A Taste of Honey'', and was her third major screenplay. The story of Ellis has resonance in Britain because it provided part of the background to the extended national debates that led to the progressive abolition of capital punishment from 1965. The theme song, a cover version of Peggy Lee's 1951 track "Would You Dance with a Stranger?", was performed by Mari Wilson and released as a single. Reidar Larsen
Reidar Thoralf Larsen (8 October 1923 – 16 February 2012) was a Norwegian politician. He was chairman of the Communist Party of Norway from 1965 to 1975, when he resigned from his position, left the party and joined the Socialist Left Party (SV). He left SV in 1999 in protest against the party's support for the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia, and because he felt the party was not radical enough. Terje Nilsen
Terje Nilsen (26 November 1951 – 20 March 2019) was a Norwegian singer and songwriter. Nilsen's greatest hit is the song "Mjelle", written in 1974, and appearing on the album "Æ" released in 1977. It later appeared on the album "Kanskje", released in 1990, and had a spell on Norsktoppen. In addition to his own recordings, Nilsen has collaborated with several well-known Norwegian artists. For instance, he has performed together with Halvdan Sivertsen on numerous occasions. He also sings the chorus on "Pøbla" by north Norwegian hip-hop group Tungtvann, which was a big hit in Norway around 2002. He was the profile of the year in Nordland Musikkfestuke in 2003. Nilsen was the uncle of former professional footballers Runar Berg, Ørjan Berg and Arild Berg. He died on 20 March 2019, aged 67. |

Odin Records is a Norwegian jazz record company and label founded in 1981 by the Norwegian Jazz Federation, when there were not many independent record labels in Norway. Only major international record companies were to be found in Oslo, so Odin soon became the most important national label for contemporary Norwegian jazz. Sonet Records
Sonet Records was a jazz, pop and rock record label operating as an imprint of Universal Music Sweden. It was founded in Sweden in 1956. Sonet Records was established by Sven Lindholm and Gunnar Bergström, who managed the label into the 1980s. Dag Haeggqvist, the owner of Gazell Records, became an executive of the label in 1960, and Sonet eventually acquired Gazell's catalogue. It was distributed by Pickwick Records in North America in the 1960s, where it was involved in releasing some of Bill Haley's latter-day material. The label set up offices throughout Europe, including the United Kingdom. It also expanded into film, video, and other visual arts in addition to music. Prima Vera (band)
Prima Vera was a Norwegian comedy group existing from 1976 to 1984. For the most part, their music was humorous songs, often Norwegian versions of well-known international hits with totally unrelated, funny, or sarcastic lyrics. The group ended in 1984 when one of the members, Jahn Teigen, left the group to focus on his own career, which had a more serious character.
