Bjørn Benterud
Bjørn Cloumann Benterud (22 January 1901 – 21 March 1985) was a Norwegian businessperson and sports official. Representing the sports club Bestum IF, he was a board member of the Norwegian Athletics Association from 1933 through 1936, then chairman from 1949 through 1952. He was a member of the law committee in 1938, 1940, 1946–1948 and 1953–1966, chairing it from 1946 to 1947 and 1955 to 1966. He was a member of the judging committee from 1953 to 1956, chaired the appeals committee from 1967 to 1973 and the stadium committee from 1972 to 1973. The Norwegian Institute of Technology ( Norwegian: ''Norges tekniske høgskole'', NTH) was a science institute in Trondheim, Norway. It was established in 1910, and existed as an independent technical university for 58 years, after which it was merged into the University of Trondheim as an independent college. In 1996 NTH ceased to exist as an organizational superstructure when the university was restructured and rebranded. The former NTH departments are now basic building blocks of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). NTH was primarily a polytechnic institute, educating master level engineers as well as architects. Peder Jørgen Cloumann (14 April 1747 – 22 December 1817) was a Norwegian bailiff and politician. Peder Jørgen Cloumann was born at Strandebarm in Hordaland, Norway where his father was the parish priest. He studied in the University of Copenhagen and achieved his Baccalaureate degree in 1763. In 1766, he went to Bratsberg where he served as representative of the governor. He was bailiff in Øvre Telemark from 1772 to 1811. He purchased the Moen farm in Kviteseid during 1783. Olav Tendeland (29 June 1904 – 25 December 1996) was a Norwegian barrister and sports administrator. Career Tendeland was born in Drøbak to headmaster Thormod Tendeland and Kari Haadem. He passed examen artium in 1922 and graduated as cand.jur. in 1927. He started his own practice as barrister from 1938, and had access to work with Supreme Court cases from 1953, retiring in 1980. He had a long-term career as sports administrator. He was a board member of the Norwegian Athletics Association from 1932 to 1939 and 1945 to 1946, chaired the Norwegian Athletics Association from 1946 to 1948, was a board member of the International Amateur Athletic Federation from 1950 to 1956, and board member of the Association for the Promotion of Skiing from 1951 to 1958.
