The Biñan Tatak Gel (also known as Biñan Tatak Gel–Beast Motorcycle Tires GameX for sponsorship reasons) is a Filipino professional basketball team based in Biñan, Laguna (province), Laguna. The team primarily competes in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) as a member of the league's South Division (MPBL), South Division. The team plays its home games at Alonte Sports Arena. The team began play during the 2018–19 MPBL season, 2018–19 season as the Laguna Heroes. The team has also played in the Pilipinas Super League since 2023 as well as in The Asian Tournament since 2024. The Laguna/Biñan franchise is tied with the Mindoro Tamaraws for the longest playoff drought in the MPBL, having missed the playoffs in its first four seasons before clinching a spot in 2024 MPBL playoffs, 2024. The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) is a men's regional professional basketball league in the Philippines composed of 30 teams. Founded in 2017 by eight-division boxing world champion and then-Senator Manny Pacquiao, the MPBL is not intended to be a competitor to the top-flight Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), but rather to provide a gateway for local, homegrown talents to showcase their skills. The league uses a home-and-away format, similar to the defunct Metropolitan Basketball Association. 2025 MPBL Season
The 2025 MPBL season is the seventh season of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) and its fourth under professional status. The regular season began on March 8, 2025 with the opening ceremony at the Capital Arena in Ilagan, Isabela. The season will end in December with the 2025 MPBL finals. This season features 30 teams. The league expanded to the Cagayan Valley region for the first time with the addition of the Ilagan Isabela Cowboys. Three teams (Basilan Viva Portmasters, Cebu Classic, and Pasig City MPBL team, Pasig City) made their comebacks.
