Bitung
Bitung, officially the City of Bitung (), is a coastal city at the north-eastern edge of the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia. Bitung is located in the province of North Sulawesi (), and faces Lembeh Island (which forms two districts of the city), and the Lembeh Strait, which is known for its colourful marine life, in particular sea slugs. Manado-Bitung Toll Road is a toll road that connects Manado and Bitung, the two largest cities of North Sulawesi province in the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. Hengky Honandar
Hengky Honandar (born 28 May 1964) is an Indonesian politician of the Nasdem Party who is the mayor of Bitung, North Sulawesi, who has served in the position since February 2025. He had previously been the city's vice-mayor in 2021–2025, and had run unsuccessfully for mayor in 2015. Early life Hengky Honandar was born in Ambon, Maluku on 28 May 1964. He studied there for some time, completing middle school from a Cathloic school in 1980, before going to Manado for high school and graduating in 1984. Honandar then enrolled at an Economic Polytechnic in Manado, receiving his bachelor's in 1991. Career His political career began in 2014, when he was elected into Bitung's Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), as a member of the Democratic Party, becoming the DPRD's deputy chairman. Tangkoko Batuangus Nature Reserve
Tangkoko Batuangus Nature Reserve, is a nature reserve in the northern part of Sulawesi island of Indonesia, from Manado City. The reserve covers an area of , and includes three mountains: Mount Tangkoko at , Mount Dua Saudara at , and Mount Batuangus at . Flora and fauna The most common trees in the lowland rainforest of the park are species of the Palaquium genus, ''Cananga odorata'' and ''Dracontomelon dao''. Tangkoko Batuangus Nature Reserve protects at least 127 mammal, 233 bird, and 104 reptile and amphibian species. Of these, 79 mammal, 103 bird, and 29 reptile and amphibian species are endemic to the island. Threatened mammals include the Celebes crested macaque, of which about 5,500 remain on the island, spectral tarsier, Sulawesi bear cuscus and Sulawesi dwarf cuscus. Telephone numbers in Indonesia have different systems for land lines and mobile phones: land lines use area codes, while mobile phones do not.
