Birgitte Hjort Sørensen
Birgitte Hjort Sørensen (born 16 January 1982) is a Danish actress. She has been nominated for three Robert Awards and one Bodil Award. Born in Hillerød and raised in Birkerød, Sørensen aspired to an acting career after watching the West End production of the musical ''Chicago'' while at school. She graduated from the Danish National School of Performing Arts. Her acting debut was in a minor role in the television series '' The Eagle'' in 2005. She followed this by playing Roxie Hart in a Copenhagen production of ''Chicago'', and later on the West End. Sørensen's breakthrough role was as journalist Katrine Fønsmark in the television political drama '' Borgen'' (2010–2013, 2022). Early life Sørensen was born in Hillerød on 16 January 1982. DR (broadcaster)
DR (), officially the Danish Broadcasting Corporation in English, is a Danish public-service radio and television broadcasting company. Founded in 1925 as a public-service organization, it is Denmark's oldest and largest electronic media enterprise. DR shares many of its organisational characteristics with its British counterpart, the BBC, on which it was largely modelled. DR is a founding member of the European Broadcasting Union. Reumert Award
The Reumert Award (Danish: Årets Reumert) is an annual Danish awards ceremony to recognize excellence in theatre achievements in Denmark. The award was founded by the in 1998, and has been handed annually since then. There are 16 award categories as well as 10 talent awards. A jury of ten specialists in theatre selects the recipients, who receive a statuette and a prize. As of 2016, the recipients also receive an amount of money. The recipients of the Reumert Award of Honour receive DKK 200,000, the recipients of the Talent Prize receive DKK 35,000 and all other categories-recipients receive DKK 40,000. The Reumert prize is named after the Danish actor Poul Reumert (1883–1968). ''Interview'' is an American magazine founded by pop artist Andy Warhol and journalist John Wilcock in 1969. The magazine, nicknamed "The Crystal Ball of Pop," features interviews of and by celebrities. Background In 1965, pop artist Andy Warhol announced his retirement from painting to focus on filmmaking. After he survived an assassination attempt in 1968, he began to concentrate on building a business enterprise. When Warhol tried to obtain press permits for the New York Film Festival, he was denied. Therefore, having a formal method for obtaining press passes was one of the reasons he founded ''inter/VIEW: A Monthly Film Journal'' with British journalist John Wilcock in 1969.
