Bilqis Abdul-Qaadir
Bilqis Abdul-Qaadir (Somali language, Somali: ''Bilqis Abdul Qaadir''; Arabic: بلقيس عبد القادر) (born 11 November 1990) is an American former collegiate basketball player. She was notable for playing basketball while wearing a hijab, a headscarf for Women in Islam, Muslim women. Abdul-Qaadir scored 3,070 points in her high school career, setting the all-time scoring record in Massachusetts. She played four years of college basketball for the University of Memphis. She finished her college basketball career at Indiana State University, where she later served as a graduate assistant with the team. The Queen of Sheba, also known as Bilqis in Arabic and as Makeda in Geʽez, is a figure first mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. In the original story, she brings a caravan of valuable gifts for Solomon, the fourth King of Israel and Judah. Balqis Sidawi (born 1935 in Nabatieh, Lebanon) is a Lebanese writer and poet. She studied in Biblical schools in Nabatieh, going on to study at the American Evangelical School in Beirut. From here, she studied at the Community School in Beirut, receiving a degree in Arabic literature. Balqees Ahmed Fathi (; born 20 October 1984), widely known by the mononym Balqees (), is a Yemeni- Emirati singer and actress. She came from an artistic family as her father Ahmed Fathi was a well-known Yemeni musician and her mother is also a Yemeni with an Emirati citizenship.
