Białystok City Council
The Białystok City Council () is the governing body of the city of Białystok in Poland. The council has 28 elected members elected every five years in an election by city voters through a secret ballot. The election of city council and the local head of government, which takes place at the same time, is based on legislation introduced on 20 June 2002. History The first independent city parliament in the city was formed with the regaining of independence from the Russian Empire and the establishment of the Polish Second Republic. Civic Coalition (Poland)
The Civic Coalition (, KO) is a big tent political alliance currently ruling in Poland. The alliance was formed in 2018 around Civic Platform, in opposition to the then-ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party. History The Civic Coalition was originally created by the Civic Platform and Modern parties for 2018 local elections. In June 2019, it was announced that the Civic Coalition would be slated to participate in the 2019 Polish parliamentary election and Civic Platform and Modern would form a joint parliamentary club. The Greens announced at the end of July 2019 that they would participate in the elections as part of the Coalition. The Confederation Liberty and Independence (, KWiN), frequently shortened to just Confederation (), is a far-right political alliance in Poland. 2024 Białystok City Council Election Results
4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Evolution of the Hindu-Arabic digit Brahmic numerals represented 1, 2, and 3 with as many lines. 4 was simplified by joining its four lines into a cross that looks like the modern plus sign. The Third Way (, TD) is a political alliance in Poland that was formed on 27 April 2023, before the 2023 parliamentary election. The coalition's aim is to provide an alternative to both Law and Justice and Civic Platform, the dominant political parties in Poland since the 2000s. 1938–39 Polish Local Elections
The 1938–1939 Polish local elections were the last series of elections for local governments in the Second Polish Republic. They were likely held only in 40% of gminas and the majority of gromadas and cities, in the latter they were held largely on 18 December 1938. The majority of seats were earned by the Camp of National Unity alongside independents. According to Hubert Izdebski, the elections were held in a much better atmosphere than the previous local elections. Turnout reached 63,8%. The Second Polish Republic, at the time officially known as the Republic of Poland, was a country in Central and Eastern Europe that existed between 7 October 1918 and 6 October 1939.
