Biathle
Biathle is a sub-sport of modern pentathlon consisting of running and freestyle swimming. The legs are raced with continuous transitions like a triathlon. It is a sport in its own right and bears close resemblance to aquathlon which also contains swimming and running but comes from triathlon. The race length is usually 200 m swim and 3 km run, which is shorter than aquathlon usually is. Sport Biathle is a world class sport but not an Olympic one. Competitions are held under rules of the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM). Chad Senior
Chad Senior (born December 27, 1974) is an American Olympic modern pentathlete. Early years Senior grew up in Fort Myers, Florida, and graduated from North Fort Myers High School. During each year at North Fort Myers High School he earned varsity letters in track, cross country and swimming. He was one of the top athletes in southwest Florida and earned many awards and accolades. Senior graduated from high school in 1993 and went on to attend The George Washington University in Washington, DC, on a full swimming scholarship. He holds school records for the 1,000 Freestyle with a time of 9:20.20 in 1993, and the 1,650 Freestyle with a time of 15:36.48 in 1997. Richard Stannard (born April 1974) is a triathlete from Great Britain and four time Biathle world champion. He is nicknamed "The Fish" due to the strength of his swimming, and is the current British Masters record holder in the 200m free, 400m free, 800m free and 1500m free categories. He was British triathlon champion in 2001, aquathlon world champion in 2003, 2006 and 2011 and biathle world champion in 2005, 2007, 2010 and 2012. He also led the swim leg of the London Triathlon for ten years in row from 1997–2006. Modern Pentathlon
The modern pentathlon is an Summer Olympics, Olympic multisport that consists of five events: fencing (one-touch épée followed by direct elimination), freestyle swimming, obstacle course racing, Laser pistol (sport), laser pistol shooting, and cross country running. The sport was first held in 1912, inspired by the Ancient Olympic pentathlon, traditional pentathlon held during the ancient Olympics, and designed to model skills needed by a soldier of that time. It has been a continuous part of the Summer Olympics since 1912, and a world championship has been held annually since 1949.
