Beşiktaş Atatürk Anatolian High School ( or briefly "BAAL") is an Anatolian High School located on the European side of Istanbul and one of the most prominent high schools founded by the first prime minister, İsmet İnönü, in Turkey . The primary languages of instruction are Turkish and English. The secondary foreign languages are German and French. History The school was first established under the name "''İnönü Ortaokulu''" ("'' İnönü Secondary School''") in Beyoğlu, Istanbul in 1936. Two years later, it was turned into a high school and renamed "''İnönü Lisesi''" ("''İnönü High School''"). Later in 1945, the school underwent another transformation and took the name "''Beyoğlu Kız Lisesi''" ("''Beyoğlu Girls' High School''"), accepting only the female students. In the years 1953 and 1954 the school was renamed twice and continued to give education under the name "''İstanbul Atatürk Kız Lisesi''" ("''Istanbul Atatürk Girls' High School''") until 1985. A ...

Suna Selen
Suna Selen (born 1 July 1939) is a Turkish actress of theatre, film and television. She has appeared in numerous plays at the Istanbul State Theatre. Life Selen was born in 1939 in Istanbul. Her father was lawyer Hüsamettin Selen, and her mother, Nimet Selen, was a granddaughter of scholar Ahmed Cevdet Pasha and daughter of Fatma Aliye Topuz. She finished her high school education at the Beşiktaş Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi. During her high school years she also attended the Theatre Department of Beşiktaş Municipal Conservatory. Ayşe Sibel Tüzün (born 29 September 1971) is a Turkish singer, songwriter and composer. Life and career Sibel began her musical education at the TRT Istanbul Children's Choir. During her secondary school years she joined the ''Youth Choir of TRT'' where she met Gökçen Koray, Cenan Akın and Hikmet Şimşek. Ali Özkan Manav (born May 20, 1967) is a Turkish composer of contemporary classical music. His earlier works were influenced by Saygun, Usmanbaş, and Ligeti. Nazlı Deniz Kuruoğlu (born c. 1960) is a Turkish ballet dancer and a former beauty contestant and Miss Europe 1982.
