Bert Schenk
Bert Schenk (born 14 November 1970 in Berlin, Germany) was a German boxer. Professional career Schenk turned pro in 1996 and won the WBO Middleweight Title on 30 January 1999 against Freeman Barr by 4th-round TKO. Otis Grant had vacated the belt to fight Roy Jones Jr. for the WBC/WBA light heavyweight titles, leaving the belt vacant for Schenk and Barr to fight. Schenk was stripped of the belt for not defending, and later lost the following year to Armand Krajnc when he recovered. Armand Krajnc
Armand Krajnc (born 7 August 1973) is a former Swedish professional boxer who competed from 1996 to 2004. He held the WBO middleweight title from 1999 to 2002, and challenged once for the unified WBA (Super) and IBF super-middleweight titles in his final fight in 2004. Early life Krajnc's parents emigrated from Slovenia in the former Yugoslavia to southernmost Sweden, Scania before he was born. Before his professional career, he obtained ''first Dan'', represented by the Black Belt, within the Karate style of Shotokan. This prepared him to become a hard-hitting boxer. When he began his professional career he moved to Malmö and commuted on a weekly basis to his new German boxing club and promoter in Lübeck in northern Germany. Jason Matthews (born 20 July 1970 in Hackney) is a former boxer from England in the Middleweight (160 lb) division. Boxing career Amateur career Matthews won the 1995 Amateur Boxing Association British middleweight title, when boxing out of the Crown and Manor ABC. Professional career Also known as "Method Man", Matthews turned pro in 1995 and won the vacant World Boxing Organization inter-continental middleweight title with a victory against Paul Wright in 1997; then won the commonwealth Middleweight Title against Paul Jones in 1998. He then won the middleweight interim title on 17 June 1999 with a victory against Ryan Rhodes. He was elevated to full champion when long-term injuries prevented the previous title holder, Bert Schenk, from defending the title.
