Bernhard Weiß (musician)
Axxis is a German heavy metal band that was founded in 1988. Their debut album, '' Kingdom of the Night'', became the best-selling debut album by a hard rock band in Germany in 1989. Biography Axxis' musical roots lie within the traditional hard rock of the 1970s and 1980s, including influences of 1990s electronic music. The band was formed in early 1980s, with the name Anvil. They released several self-recorded demos under that name, before discovering the Canadian band Anvil who had already released an album internationally. In response to this, the band changed their name in the year 1980 to “Axis”. In interview with Battle Helm in 2015, vocalist Bernhard Weiß stated that the new band name must be a small word to get bigger letters on the promotional posters, but he also stated that they chose the name because "the name AXIS sounds a bit like guitar axes, but also meaning wise". "My Heart Will Go On" is a song performed by Canadian singer Celine Dion, used as the theme for the 1997 film '' Titanic''. It was composed by James Horner, with lyrics by Will Jennings, and produced by Horner, Walter Afanasieff and Simon Franglen. It was released as a single internationally by Columbia and Epic on November 24, 1997, and included on Dion's album '' Let's Talk About Love'' (1997) and the ''Titanic'' soundtrack. Horner composed the basis of "My Heart Will Go On" as a motif for the ''Titanic'' soundtrack, and suggested developing it into a song. The director, James Cameron, felt a pop song would be inappropriate for the film, but agreed after hearing the demo. The final version was arranged by Afanasieff. "Stayin' Alive" is a song written and performed by the Bee Gees from the ''Saturday Night Fever'' motion picture soundtrack. The song was released in December 1977 by RSO Records as the second single from the ''Saturday Night Fever'' soundtrack. "Ma Baker" is a song by disco group Boney M., released as a single in 1977. It was the first single of their second album '' Love for Sale'' and their third consecutive chart-topper in (West) Germany. The song was a huge success in Europe and Latin America, topping the charts in many countries there. It was a number 2 hit in the UK (only surpassed by Donna Summer's " I Feel Love"). In the US, the song only reached number 96. Composition and structure Frank Farian's assistant Hans-Jörg Mayer discovered a popular Tunisian folkloric song, " Sidi Mansour" while on holiday, and rewrote the song into a disco track.
