Gilbert Anthony Milam Jr. (born October 27, 1983), better known by his stage name Berner, is an American rapper and entrepreneur. Bruno George Berner (born 21 November 1977) is a Swiss professional football manager and former player. He most recently was head coach of Grasshopper Club Zürich in the Swiss Super League. Throughout his playing career, Berner played predominantly as a left back, but was also deployed in other roles, such as central defence, left wing and also in central midfield towards the end of his career at Leicester City. Friedrich Wilhelm Berner (16 March 1780 – 9 May 1827) was a German organist, composer, teacher and writer on music theory. Life Berner was born at Breslau (now Wrocław) in 1780. His father Johann Georg Berner, the organist of St Elizabeth's Church there, gave him early music lessons, and aged thirteen Friedrich was appointed his assistant. Geoff Berner (born 1971) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and musician from Vancouver. Musical career Berner originally studied piano in his youth. At a party, somebody asked him why he did not play the accordion. As a result, he began learning to play the accordion. Following several years fronting the punk band Terror of Tiny Town (its name borrowed from the 1938 film), Berner released his first solo EP, ''Light Enough to Travel'' (2000) on the Sudden Death Records label. ''Light Enough to Travel'' contained some of the songs he wrote while part of The Terror of Tiny Town. The Vancouver band The Be Good Tanyas covered the title track, and had some chart success with their version in England, which helped to kickstart Berner's career. Berner began his diplomatic career in 1960 and held various positions, including serving at the Swedish UN delegation, SIPRI, and embassies in Beijing and Moscow. Robert Berner
Robert Arbuckle Berner (November 25, 1935 – January 10, 2015) was an American scientist known for his contributions to the modeling of the carbon cycle. He taught Geology and Geophysics from 1965 to 2007 at Yale University, where he latterly served as Professor Emeritus until his death. His work on sedimentary rocks led to the co-founding of the BLAG model of atmospheric carbon dioxide, which takes into account both geochemical and biological contributions to the carbon cycle. Between 1964 and 1973, Berner competed in Grand Slam events.
