Bernardo Martins Sousa (born 27 March 2000), sometimes known as Benny, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder or winger for Turkish TFF First League club Ümraniyespor. Professional career Sousa is a youth product of Porto, O Pinguinzinho, and Sporting CP. He began his senior career with Sporting CP B in 2020. After a couple of seasons with them, he moved to the Primeira Liga club Chaves on 27 January 2022. He made his professional and senior debut with Chaves in a 1–0 Primeira Liga loss to Vitória F.C. The Primeira Liga (), also known as Liga Portugal Betclic for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Portugal and the highest level of the Portuguese football league system. Organised and supervised by the Liga Portugal, it has been contested by 18 teams since the 2014–15 season, with the three lowest-placed teams relegated to the Liga Portugal 2 and replaced by the top-three non-reserve teams from this division.
