Bernard Rajzman
Bernard Rajzman (born 25 April 1957) is a Brazilian former volleyball player and three-time Olympian. He was born in Rio de Janeiro. He was enshrined in the International Volleyball Hall of Fame in 2005. Nowadays, Bernard is a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Rajzman began his sports career at the age of 11, playing basketball for Fluminense, but traded the sport for volleyball because he was too short. At the age of 17, he joined the Brazilian men's national volleyball team, for which he played in three consecutive Olympics beginning in 1976, winning a silver medal in 1984. He also won seven South American Championships, one gold medal at the 1983 Pan American Games, a silver medal at the 1982 FIVB World Championship, and a bronze medal at the 1981 FIVB World Cup. 1987 Pan American Games
The 1987 Pan American Games, officially known as the X Pan American Games, was a major international multi-sport event held in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States, on August 7–23, 1987. Over 4,300 athletes from 38 countries in the Americas competed in 297 events in 30 sports, earning 1,015 medals. Events were held at 23 venues in and around Indianapolis. Brazil Men's National Volleyball Team
The Brazil men's national volleyball team is governed by the Confederação Brasileira de Voleibol ''( Brazilian Volleyball Confederation)'' and takes part in international volleyball competitions. Brazil has won three gold medals at the Olympic Games, has won the World Championship three times, and the World League nine times. With a tally total of 68 titles Brazil is the national volleyball team that has won the most titles in the main FIVB sanctioned competitions, and also the national team that has won the most international titles outside their regional competition.
